Game 3 being rained out tremendously benefits the Red Sox.
Arroyo v. Brown
Wakefield v. Mussina
Pedro v. Hernandez
Maybe Jesus is on their side... :wtf: :toothless :wtf: |

ESPN has a quote from Torre that Hernandez will still pitch game 4 and Mussina game 5. They still haven't decided on whether Pedro gets game 5 or 6. I would imagine it would depend upon the outcome of the next games.
Well, the Yankees should feel comfortable facing Pedro. Brown is better than Arroyo if healthy. Hernandez is my favorite pitcher and if he's fine too, then I like our chances.
They aren't coming back! |

If Mussina still goes game 5, then I don't like his chances. He hates pitching on more or less than 4 days rest. Also, Brown is better than Arroyo on paper. You never know from game to game what you're gonna get with him. And despite what everyone thinks, Arroyo is a good pitcher. He completely came out of nowhere. Surprised the Pirates just let him go. They probably feel like idiots now. |

i think the yanks are gonna win tonight
cause aroyo is a young pitcher and theres alot of presure on him by the fans and by his teammates to win this game
i have a feeling he will choke
as for brown i wont lie iam not too crazy about him
but if the yanks are gettin runs off of aroyo then brown just has to have some location with his ball and with alot of the red sox hitters in a lil bit of a slump this seris he has to keep the presure on them as well |

Well, I've been wrong on Cabrera so far, might as well go out on a limb and say this.
Arroyo will pitch a gem tonight. |

| Ive had my doubts about the Yankees pitching all the way through the playoffs, especially when I knew they were gonna play Boston. But they have been coming through BIGTIME. In the first six innings against the Yankees, the Bosox are 1-37 (.027 BA), thats insane! I got my money on the Yankees tonight the way they are pitching. |

| The way Mussina and Lieber pitched has NOTHING to do with the way that Brown will pitch. |

Not directly, but it does give confidence to everyone because of the way everyone is pitching. Kevin Brown is a veteran and has been around the block a few times, so Im expecting a good showing. |

| Possibly. Bo Sox also know that they NEED to win this game or it is basically over. They really need to win all three games at Fenway. I'd like Boston to win, but it doesn't really matter anyway. Hopefully if Boston loses, they'll put Manny on waivers and the Mets'll pick him up. Everyone here forgets that I am first and foremost a Mets fan. |
