That's a very ignorant generalisation, it may be very hard for you to comprehend but Israel is an extremely bad perpetrator of "state-sanctioned terrorism" along with Russia, Indonesia, USA, et al.

quote:
Wikipedia on State Terrorism: Israel
During the al-Aqsa Intifada, Israel engaged in tactics and controversial military operations that resulted in criticism of its policies and actions. According to Dr. Lev Grinberg, a political sociologist at Ben Gurion University, Israel's actions constituted state terrorism[6]. Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdošan and CNN founder Ted Turner have also referred to some of the acts as examples of state terrorism.[7][8]

In a July 29, 2005 interview in the Nazareth-based Arab-Israeli newspaper Kul al-Arab, former Israeli Minister of Education Shulamit Aloni stated that "terror utilized by Israel in the territories is worse than Palestinian terrorism"[9]. Military operations into Palestinian territory, the alleged harassment of Palestinian civilians by both military personnel and Israeli citizens, and the deaths of civilians during the assassination of Arab militant leaders have also resulted in human-rights criticism. For example, in 1982, an assassination attempt on Yasser Arafat killed 200 people when a Beirut apartment block was destroyed by an Israeli bomb, and in 1985, 73 people were killed in another assassination attempt on Arafat in Tunis. [10].

This is only a small example, and by no means justifies the abhorrent Palestinian terrorism against Israel, but Israel can never claim the moral highground over the Palestinians for as long as their military is culpable of state-sanctioned terrorism.

Well the IDF has been doing it for 40 years. Occupying other countries seems to be policy no matter what anyone else thinks. U.S. included.

Canada's foreign ministry says seven Canadian citizens have been killed by Israeli air strikes in Lebanon and three other Canadians have been wounded.

On Sunday, Israeli forces hit the house where the Canadians were staying in southern Lebanon, near the Israeli border.

Earlier, Canadian foreign minister Peter MacKay said eight Canadians had died in Lebanon, but a spokesperson, citing updated information, late Sunday revised the number to seven.

Lebanese police said at least five of the Canadians were from the same family. News reports said the family was vacationing in Lebanon.

The Israeli Army issued a statement saying it had warned civilians to get out of the area because it was used by Hezbollah to fire missiles into Israel.

The statement said responsibility for the deaths rests entirely with Hezbollah.

That is pathetic, does the Israeli army truly believe that they are above any blame for the deaths of these Canadians? They may aswell say: "the responsibility for the deaths of the 7 Canadians rests on the USA for funding our trigger-happy military"

what most of the zionists here dont realize is that this retaliation will not make them safer at all. They are creating more and and more enemies for themselves.

I have a feeling that Isreal is about to face a huge disaster and a war that will last for years to come.

What are you going on about?
What "more" enemies are there?
It's the same asshats as before, they're just getting spanked.
I'm sure if Israel wanted to, they could make Lebanon a pile of rubble in a couple of days.
Maybe you should asking yourself why it is they're not; you might surprise yourself with the answers.

Unless Lebanon steps up to help rid themselves of their extremist infestation, you'd be right about one thing, the time factor goes way up....:(

My question is, why were they still there??? :wtf:

I realize they may have been trapped recently but it's not like they weren't cognisant of the situation before they arrived...

This is not good...:sadgreen:
