They won't attack with nukes, even if a regional war will start they won't use it. It's more of a deterring device, and won't be use ever (UNLESS it's going to be a very extreme situation...last resort thing).

hey hardcore, answer my questions. i'm curious as to why you support terrorism over democracy, aside from your faith

I dont think it is terrorism when a country is defending itself by any means necessery. But every time Israel or the U.S get attacked it automatically becomes an act of terrorism.

what's the country you're talking about then? Hizballaland?
when will you realize that they've abducted and killed soldiers, and started to fire missiles to northern Israel just like that, out of the blue? what that had to do with defence?

Good thing israel is worried about lebanese civilians!

Meanwhile, Israel is rejecting a request by the United Nations for a three-day ceasefire in Lebanon to deliver humanitarian supplies and to allow civilians to leave the war zone.

They say the 'opened up safety corridors', but seriously, is it that hard to allow for a stupid 72 hours ceasefre. At least they got some positive PR out of it.

Looks like the fight is spreading to other places.

what's wiser: To suffer the slaughter of our best fighters to prevent the slaughter of civilians in rural south Lebanon and be the most moral army in the world, or to erase villages used as Hizbullah terror motels, save the blood of our sons and be considered less moral?

Further proving the point that they regard themselves as being worth more than other people. Two soldiers for 400 civilians is ridiculous any way you spin it my friend. Keep erasing them villages, you're just feeding the fire.

We, and I think I can somehow speak for all Israeli people, don't think we are better, nor worth more that any other people, be it Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Atheist or any other people. WE DO appreciate the lives of our people, and we want to take care of our brothers, and keep them safe.

We don't and won't say that our 2 soldiers "worth" all those innocent that got killed, we don't think like that. again, we did, do and will do though, everything we can to keep our people safe, at every cost I guess. It's hard to understand it when you don't live in this situation.

I don't think that innocent people should be killed, the IDF could've and should have acted more carefully, but I agree with them that we had to attack, with full force (Kinda contradict myself here).

Although when i dont filter this rationally i do understand how you feel. If i put myself in this scenario, i understand, i truly do. But the contradictions are there, and there is no logical way of reconciling this two points. At an emotional level i understand the want to protect your fellow countrymen, but as i stated before in this thread, people that are emotianlly involve will tend to make decisions that they will either regret in the future or will cost them dearly because they could not anticipate the repercusions correctly.
