| This is sick! You know I'm just speechless of the stupidity of my fellow members in this board. Atleast, show some respect to this woman as a citizen, wife, mother and as vice president. |

Qualifications are typically bullet points on a resume - actual job performance never seems to be something that gets discussed.

i kind of see your point. Like you (i assume), i think job performance should be major consideration in the evaluation of qualifications. although gwb apparently was a good governor while in texas. I haven't spoken to any texans that disapproved of his goverance while in texas. The presidency displayed his true weakness - foreign policy - something he didn't need as governor. |

She seems like a great woman, a great mother, and probably a good Governor.
What in your mind makes her a good Vice President? Or, God help us, a good President? |

My prediction: McCain is gonna win the US presidency. I have never gotten an American presidential election wrong so far, 3 for 3.
McCain is playing a very smart game, and he will attract those female voters disillusioned by the loss of Clinton to Obama. Brilliant! McCain is smarter than he looks. |

Could be worse.
They could have nominated someone with no experience as their primary... |

She has executive experience.. as a mayor and a governor. She has been reforming that way they do politics in her state while obama all he does is talk about it. She has been taking executive decisions while obama and biden all do is debate in the senate floor. what more experience do you want? your candidate claims to change washington while he choses the insider of all insiders in washington. while mccain choses a reformist with a track record in challenging her own party and tackling incompetence in her state government.
:haha: i love it how in the upcoming days the far left tries to fabricate propaganda towards this woman. smart chose of mccain in chosing a smart woman, with a compelling story and a clean person. |

Palin apparently has "gay" friends but opposes gay marriage. She also opposes abortion yet is a member of a feminist group....contradicting yourself much there lady?
Palin and McCain together are going to be one heck of a disaster for the environment. She's a huge supporter of oil resource development in Alaska and opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.
In 2007, Palin approved a $150 cash incentive for each Alaskan wolf to be killed by hunters in helicopters. The incentive was called a "bounty" for killing wolves.
In May 2008, Palin objected to the decision of Dirk Kempthorne to list polar bears as an endangered species. She threatened a lawsuit to stop the listing amid fears that it would hurt oil and gas development in the bears' habitat off Alaska's northern and northwestern coasts. |
looks like she truly doesnt give a about the environment at all. |
