He wasn't traveling with his Senate staff; he was traveling as part of the campaign - that's why he met with Merkel, Sarkozy, etc. - to discuss what policies he would pursue as President of the United States, not as a Senator.
It's a complete non-issue, but people like firestarter feel the need to blow things out of proportion so they can be shrill about something. |
Its just one example Leb - certainly not my entire argument
How shallow are you guys anyways?
What I can say about Obama is that, while he is an eloquent speaker, the devil is in the details with this guy.
His nanny state dream is going to cost a lot of money and more government is going to have to be involved than there is currently.
Get ready to open your wallets down there because closing tax loopholes and such aren't even going to come close to covering the massive cost it will take to cover everything he is pitching... |

actually his plan compared to mccain's would decrease our budget deficit instead of increasing it like mccain's does.
this is why you look at details instead of making generalizations.
i don't know why so many people are so illogical.
| quote: | | Summary: On Fox News Sunday, Mara Liasson falsely asserted that a Tax Policy Center analysis of Sens. McCain's and Obama's tax plans "said that Obama might add more to the deficit -- because it's unclear how he's going to pay for these -- than McCain would add to the deficit." In fact, the Tax Policy Center found that Obama's tax proposals would raise $700 billion over the next 10 years, while McCain's tax proposals would lose $600 billion, when scored against a " 'current policy' baseline," which "assumes that the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts would be extended and the AMT [Alternative Minimum Tax] patch made permanent." |

Unless you make over 250,000 you won't see your taxes increase. Why bother spinning it any other way? Reality is reality, to portray something different from reality is to manipulate and spin. |

Wasilla, Alaska's City Hall... you know, the place that Sarah Palin was making all of those executive decisions 18 months ago. |

You know an intricate, well concealed military bunker sits below that office, don't you? Inside is where Palin can make executive decisions regarding local PTA meetings & setting up team plays for her sons next hockey game.
Oh yeah... There's also a Nuclear Missle Silo down there, with a 'Hello Kitty' stamp on the launch button. |

You're clearly misinformed. Obama has stated time and again, 95% of Americans will see a TAX CUT! TAX CUT! I don't know what's so hard to understand about that. Did you watch his DNC speech? He said it loud and clear... |

Obama has stated many things that did not pan out, or he reversed himself on. Either way, do you honestly believe the overall amount of money you get to keep will increase with him as president? |

Taken from another thread:
looks like she truly doesnt give a about the environment at all. |
no Republicans do. Their policies are directed and funded by the very people and corporations that seek to continue producing toxic emissions into the environment.
Let me get this straight. She's an extreme evengelical who opposes gay rights/marriage and abortions (my my this is REALLY progressive isn't it?), she's been governor of Alaska (because most Americans can identify with ALASKA: population ALL and WHO CARES?!?) for less than two years. ANd she supports the proliferation of gun ownership and apparently owns assault rifles (sounds like a ing redneck to me). But most importantly, her husband is an oil tycoon and her years in office have been defined by poor environmental policies and drilling for oil in wildlife habitats.
This is a good choice for VP? I am losing faith in the US electorate by the ing minute. You guys have to WAKE UP! |
