OK, so I'm about 15 minutes behind - but I just heard Mitt Romney say "Is government spending, putting aside inflation, liberal or conservative, if it doubled since 1980?" - Crowd - Liberal!!!!

Are these ing morons dense? Who's run the Executive for all but 8 years since 1980? Who's run Congress for the past 12? Is the Republican Party liberal?

Divide and Conquer politics is what its all about with this brand of Republicanism today, that is why I could no longer support the party. Strictly driven on an us against them agenda.

Look at their speeches, virtually a lack of substance on the economy, illegal immigration has magically disappeared from their mantra of securing and protecting out borders. All it is about is Obama Liberal, fear the terrorists, blah, blah, blah.

The Republican party has become bankrupt on many principles that it is too blind to see because of its tactic of dividing Americans into us and them. Kind of reflective of the international policy, which is no sheer coincidence. What about balanced budget, lack of government spending, respect for the privacy of Americans. All of these qualities are only uttered when it suits their views for political ends but lacking in actual government practice under the Bush administration.

I was not a believer in Obama being able to cross that threshold of middle America to get elected but the more time goes on the more people see what the Republican platform is about, pure divisiveness and nothing much more than that to offer, just look at the 8 years in power of George Bush. To think at one point in time I was proud to say I was a Republican, it all changed for me when the details of Iraq unfolded.

It has demonstrated to me that blind loyalty behind any party is a recipe for folly and full of hypocrisy, something that 8 years of Republican leadership has done a good job of reinforcing and sadly demonstrating all too often in decision making.

That was from his acceptance speech. You'd think he would have learned green screens are bad! :D

I think Obama should appoint Hillary to a high office. Maybe cabinet member? Chief of Staff? Have Naomi Klein as the Secretary of State. That'de be perfect.

Do you think Hill would settle for that? My gut tells me that she would see that as charity by Obama, or like taking Obama's crumbs... and that's not good enough for her because she wants to be at the top.

Hillary is far from done. Right now she is calculating her future. If Obama looses she'll run again in 2012, if Obama wins she'll figure something else out and might even run in 2016 (because Obama would definitely be elected again).

Yes I do. Why wouldn't she? You're making it seem like she's quietly conspiring against her own party's nominee to somehow take control. The fact of the matter is, Hillary should be given a high place in an Obama presidency. And that should be made known as soon as possible to offset any political points McCain might of scored from the Palin pick.

We absolutely positively cannot let McCain be president. America's future relations with the world depends on it.

Oh yeah, definitely. Let's give him the 8 year term from the start because it's a foregone conclusion that he'll do an excellent job. Do you read palms too? lol j/k man. Yeah I know for sure Hillary isn't done... the Clintons will be around forever. They crave power too much to fade into "bolivian" as mike tyson would say:D

WHo really knows what those zaney Clintons will do. But don't be so pessimistic about McCain dude. You talk as though you're certain that America will turn into a black hole of dispair on innauguration day if he's elected. Truth is, no matter which one it is, there's a lot of uncertainty either way. Just try to stay optimistic man, you'll feel better

haha..."zaney" Clintons? Bill Clinton was one of the most popular (not to mention SUCCESSFUL unlike Reagan and Bush Junior) presidents in the history of your country.

And it is NOT uncertain what will happen if McCain gets in. He has thus far not put anything substantial forward in terms of ACTUAL policy initiatives and has not differentiated himself at all from general Bush policies. It truly is the McSAME.

His speech tonight was full of contradictions and he is starting to look and sound horrible. The guy could drop dead at any minute.
