you actually think that skinheads and neo-nazis are the MAJORITY in California?????
read up before you let your own stereotypes permeate your posts.
Where do I or anyone else say that skinheads and neo-nazis are the "MAJORITY in California"?
"Read up" before you make yourself look more like that which you accuse others of being. - NOWHERE did I or any one write that "skinheads and neo-nazis are the MAJORITY" I had clearly written that Olbermann is DOING THE OPPOSITE of what they would do - standing up for a misunderstood minority." There are many groups of NO voters who make up the majority, I just happen to name two obvious ones, among the millions of self-proclaimed "Christians" who ignore the Golden Rule (and the abominations against boastfulness, gluttony, resting on the Sabbath, eating shell fish, etc., etc.)
The word "is" literally means "equal to". To say someone is an "idiot" is to say they are "equal" to an idiot. The truth is, we all say and do both idiotic and brilliant things. In terms of simple logic and intellectual honesty, there is a big difference between addressing a idiotic statement (such as the one you wrote) on it's own merits and NOT the person in total. Aside from a few comments, I know nothing about you and you know nothing about me. I taught Psychology and Sociology at CSULA and Santa Monica College and received great reviews from students and other Professors. If that makes me an "idiot" than there must be a plague going around and it's randomly selected hundreds of my students and dozens of my Professors.

Olbermann was clearly not "crying" nor "sniveling" as if that is a weakness.... compassion of any kind towards anyone is never a weakness. Further, if Olbermann really wanted "attention" he would root for a majority, not a 6% minority. Interesting how some people will lecture about hate and lies and then show their own, with labels such as "overman" and "libtard" - for doing no less standing up FOR a minority - the opposite of skinheads and neo-nazies. He graduated at the top of his class, far ahead of the likes of Bill O'Reilly. Still further, Olbermann never mentioned a word about taxes.
Nevertheless, THAT argument has *not* "been debunked" - As In2Musik (an accountant) pointed out several times in this forum and others, domestic Partners do not have the same tax benefits as married couples, and visitation rights from the biological family trumps the rights of any domestic partner.

Okay - try to read the same exact words again (in quotes), not out of context and hopefully without prejudice and predispositions:
Olbermann was and is "doing no less than standing up FOR a minority" (Which gay people are - Olbermann thus is doing) "the opposite of skinheads and neo-nazies".
Get it ? NOWHERE in there is the word MAJORITY - only the correct fact that NONheterosexuals are a MINORITY...and the correct fact that he is doing the opposite of "skinheads" and "neo-nazies" by standing up for said minority in stating that "equality" even as a fair-minded notion of SEMANTICS (he never "whined" about taxes), is "for the other guy too".

Sorry Mr. Prof but you Fail! Ask your accountant friend about the "Marriage Penalty Tax." And then ask your lawyer friend about a DPOA and DPOHA which trumps a family's visitation rights and with regard to finances. Yes it is debunked.
Keith Overman graduated with a communications degree from Cornell. Bill O'Reily has a BA in history from the University of London, an MA in broadcast journalism from Boston U, and then an MPA from Harvard. So, you fail again. Looks like Mr. bloviating O'Reily is more educated than your libtard Overman and much less insufferable to hear opine.

Seems like T.A.S.D and zerotonin79, not only harbor the same hatred, but the same exact style in expressing it,with no indication of who they are. I suspect they are both monikers for one and same person.
The bottom line is not who failed, in your biased opinion, but truth and facts outside of our biases (including mine). Speaking of truth, for every lie you can cite from Keith Olbermann, in his own words - I can easily cite three times as many from Bill O'Reilly in his own words - entire books have been written about them.
Bill O'Reilly bragged about his "C average" in college, while degrading many of his professors "liberal" so it doesn't matter where you graduate from if you're going back to College in your 40s and 50s just to say you have a degree from Harvard, which he has touted on his show many times.
You conveniently fail to mention that Olbermann was so advanced in high school that he started college at age 16 and that Olbermann earned 11 Golden Mike Awards. Additionally, he was named Best Sportscaster by the California Associated Press 3 times.
If that's your definition of a "libtard" I know plenty of people who would love to have accomplished half as much. Speaking of whom - O'Reilly's awards ? He lied that "we won a Peabody" while he was at "Inside Edition" Al Franken called O'Reilly, suggesting he retract his commnet. O'Reilly yelled at Franken and hung up in his face. Being at least half the truth-seeker that O'Reilly reveals himself to be, Franken later confronted O'Reilly in public about it, and O'Reilly yelled at him again, stating "you've had your 30 minutes" (which was yet another lie).
So, if you want to gloat about who has "failed" let's look at the record in O'Reilly's own words with just a FEW examples, keeping in mind that there are many different types of intelligence than the college intelligence you are erroneously boasting about:
"The Iraq War will be a cake walk." - Bill O'Reilly ( A failure of historical intelligence and strategic intelligence). Tell that to over 4,000 American families and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis that the war was the callous "cake walk" O'Reilly shamelessly predicted.
"I am going to fight Andrea Mackris' sexual harassment lawsuit to the end". - Bill O'Reilly ( A failure of moral and ethical intelligence). O'Reilly LIED to the world because the next day when he found out that Mackris' attorney's had TAPE of his perverted phone calls he settled out of court - for $10 million dollars. Hardly a "fight to an end".
"I AM the no-spin zone". - Bill O'Reilly ( A fairure of social intelligence). It is pathological to arrogantly boast of being "fair and balanced" when we all have our own spin and biases about many different things. Yours are very evident, and so are mine.
I don't have to hide behind a moniker to express my views because I trust that *most* people can disagree without taking it too personally - I'm interested in the facts. If you have facts that Olbermann has failed his viewers by lying about his awards and the war, or that he's sexually harassed anyone, I'm all ears. But two wrongs have never made a right and you might want to study more about semantics, critical thinking and "logical fallacies" first - particularly the fallacy of "your another". I am in no way implying that you are a "conservtard" - we can all benefit from learning more and it's a never-ending process for anyone with a measurable degree of self-awareness.
The bigger truth is not about Olbermann nor O'Reilly -it's about basic, decent ethics in terms of who is giving us the truth or not, what they are saying and why. You would never hear or read of me calling O'Reilly a "CANTservative" or any other immature label which we too often see from the extreme "left" and the extreme "right". People are far more complex than that and should be judged on their own isolated statements and behaviors. Just as the map (paper) is not the territory (actual terrain), the label (born of our "feelings" and thus our imaginations) is not the actual person in total - by a long shot.

LOL - it'll make for good reading in my own blogs and upcoming book - well, at least to my Mom.

Silly nit-picking 'monikered' Libtard! How do you tangentially with all your verbosity start with your support (hands grabbing ankles) for the sniveling Overman to your dissolution into O'Reilly's immaterial missteps? Big mouth Bill is more educated than is Overman. Fact. And you seemingly care so much about 'truths' then why not furiosly evaluate our president elect? He has been gravely 'less than truthful' with his voters. Wait and see. And yes, I called you a Libtard!

Oh yes, you did and I'm sure I'm one of many. Thanks for proving my points. - Your demeanor, along with the correct prediction that you would stoop again to the fallacy of "your another" (Obama) and more meaningless ad hominems, says far more about you than those you seem to hate so much.
In the end, the people who care about people are remembered with the greatest respect - and I hope you care about people, albeit even if it is in a rather unorthodox way of showing it.

Seems a little weird that some TA's have no stats, no location and no pic...maybe they live in Orange County, this is their third post, they have nothing to do with Trance music and they are alts of the people they support??? Otherwise what's to hide?
Anyway, the LA Times published a database of prop 8 contributors today, and I wanted to share it with everyone.
Just click on search to show everything, then you can click on any column to sort the data. For example, sorting by contribution amount shows that the Knights of Columbus gave the most money, $1.4M, to support prop 8 (denying the right for same sex couples to marry). The LA Gay & Lesbian Center and the CA Teachers Association Issues PAC came in a close second and third, opposing (supporting the right for same sex couples to marry) with a little over $1.3M each.
You can also search for a particular business or zip code, so if you're pissed that Prop 8 passed and your local car dealer supported it, you can always drive a few blocks over to one that opposed it and supported equal rights!
Great job LA Times!

Here is the unfortunate scene of "tolerance":
Not to mention the numerous churches that have been defaced. It really is sad, that such a disagreement could not be handled in a better way. This is seriously degenerate. Thanks to the LA Times, we can turn this into a witch hunt. Funny, how people were complaining about publishing who has donated how much to what side just 10 pages earlier...
in2muzikk
That is sad, everyone should have the right to free speech and for their personal property not to be stolen, but it also happens the other way as I recently read about two women who were thrown to the ground and kicked while protesting peacefully for No On Prop 8 near the Mormon Church in LA (they were told to go no further on a public street, got kicked, went to their car with a bloody nose and people swarmed it and banged on their windows).
I was one of the first to say that the money spent for and against Prop 8 could have better been used to relieve famine or cure diseases, but it has already been spent now. At this point, at least we have the ability to know who supported what and whether to support them. Some may not want to support anyone that donated to either side, but at least now they know the facts.
