according to the definition the guy you were arguing with quoted, a blockade is a land, air, and sea denial of commerce perpetrated against an enemy specifically, rather than that act done on a friendly nation, for instance. :p
of course, that last point is retarded to begin with, i was just getting sick of seeing that minor point being continually circulated back and forth.
in effect, the only way you could be objectively wrong about that point in this context would be if a valid definition of the word was actually more specific than yours. i doubt that's the case. |
