| I have in fact, made taco meat with ground turkey. I dunno...I just don't like turkey mince man. It's all I can taste despite the seasoning. Doesn't seem right. |

Mess'N Express Broccoli Soup.
Stuff (per person)
==================
4 Broccoli Florets (hmm maybe more)
1 Baby Pepper
1 Shallot
1 Clove of Garlic
1/2 Chicken Bouillon Cube
Water
Parmesan Cheese
Olive Oil
Chuck the broccoli in a blender with enough water to fill a bowl. Blitz.
Fry the shallot(s), garlic and baby pepper (top off, seeds out) in butter (little bit of olive oil too). Just soften.
Chuck in the blitzed broccoli and bullion cube. Just below simmer till the broccoli is cooked. Re-bliz the lot.
Serve with at few parmesan shavings and a drizzle of nice olive oil (don't make an arse of it like I did in the pic lol), and a smile, know it took 10 mins max from start to finish.
(Some weird thing happened with the cheese melting and the flash makes it look like it has weird fat blots lol :wtf: )

this is the recipe i use for tacos. way better than the instant taco seasoning packets. ;)
Ingredients
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
* 3 tablespoons minced garlic
* 3 tablespoons ground cumin
* 2 pounds ground beef
* 1 teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
* 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
* 2 cups beef broth
* 1/4 cup tomato paste
* 12 to 16 taco shells or warmed soft tortillas, as desired
* Grated Monterey Jack or Cheddar, for garnish
* Diced tomatoes, for garnish
* Minced jalapenos, for garnish
* Sour cream, for garnish
* Shredded iceburg lettuce, for garnish
* Guacamole, recipe follows, for garnish
* Salsa, recipe follows, for garnish
* Chopped red onion, for garnish
Directions
Set a 12-inch saute pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, place the onions in the pan and saute until translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cumin to the pan and continue to saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the beef to the pan and cook, breaking the pieces up as they cook, until the meat is browned, about 8 to 10 minutes. Season with the chipotle pepper and the salt. Add the beef broth and tomato paste to the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook the meat, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and serve with the garnishes for guests to assemble their tacos to their liking.
i haven't tried ground turkey yet. i usually just use the leanest ground beef i can find. |

Yeah taco seasoning is easy peasy. I use crushed tomatoes and a little bit of water instead of tomato paste...and what I usually do is drain all the fat off, then mix it in with the tomatoes/water, add a bit of flour, stir it up and then add it back. Gives you a yummy taco gravy/sauce!
GROUND TURKEY FTL.

You'll see. YOU'LL SEE.
Actually it's not BAD tasting...just it really tastes of turkey. To me that's weird. I tried to like it, but had to go back to ground beef, lol. |

I have to semi admit, turkey rashers are tolerable. The rest is waste product.
It is like tofu, but you need to kill something to get it. Senseless. Fo' Shame. |
