So what did people think of Toronto going with the old Huskies Jersey...I really think they should have called the Raptors the Huskies 15 years ago....unfortunately Jurrasic Park came out at the wrong time.

Naming teams because of a fad is always a winning strategy I wonder if the people that made the selection ever thought beyond 1996. The first step in the Raptors legacy of fail.

Raptors isn't that bad a team name... Even it it was named after one of the best movies of all time.

*BUMP*

Been quiet in these parts lately. What's the matter everyone? Raps go on a four game WINNING streak and everyone is too afraid to breathe?

The real test is coming up in the next 4 games though: and if we can get through those with a 3-1 record then in my opinion this team turned the corner. 2-2 will be almost disappointing.

What do you guys make of the current situation? Especially the emergence of Jack, Weems and Johnson. I've all but forgotten about Jose, to be honest.

seems quite similar to a situation that we were in before...

(thus I remain a skeptic.)

Glad to see that they've been playing alot better, but as yesterday's second half against the Pistons proved, the defensive problems are still no where near solved. One guy you didn't mention who I think deserves alot of praise is Belinelli. Stats aside, he's been very influential to the improvements on the team with his character.

One guy you mentioned who I really like is Amir Johnson. He's been the most aggressive rebounder on both ends of the court when we've needed big plays and with his young age, he will improve into a big asset for the team in a few years considering how week the defense is.

I don't know if it's fair to push Jose aside (I know what you're thinking when you see my name :p). Under Sam, there were many times that he was the only bright light in getting any sort of productivity out of the team and although he hasn't been completely on form this season pre-injury, I think the team as a whole has gone through alot of growing pains which can only be healed with time. The best thing about Jose is he's one of the easier guys in the locker room to get along with and will not pull a T.J. Ford if his starting spot is taken when he comes back from injury(and as said, big props to Weems for stepping out of the shadows).

For the remainder of the season, I hope that Triano can take the extra time between games (which will be lengthier than the first half) to get the defense sorted out. I don't expect miracles but they have to be alot better positioned and make it more difficult for the opposing offense to get any clear shots.

problems remain. They will resurface with jose coming back from injury.

I don't recall TJ ever causing drama. It was mostly bloggers and sports analysts desperate for a story that talked about it. As far as I'm concerned TJ handled it like a pro.

I do think that Jose should come off the bench; so as to not ruin the chemistry we have going at the moment. That, and I think a lot of his weaknesses could be erased with the 2nd unit (or minimized at least); and the positives he offers are needed much much more there too. We already have a facilitator with Turk on the starting line up. We DON'T have one coming off the bench.

PS. I didn't mention Marco because honestly, he's been MIA to me the last little while. Same with Demar. Both have been pretty quiet.

Only was able to see the last minutes of the game tonight. Glad to see the V, great way to end the year.

they played tough last night, looked good. Although it's still a sub-500 team in the bobcats.
