Liked the win tonight. Raps jumped on clearly what was an exhausted Spurs team early. Popovich [it seems so sacrilege to spell his name with that 'h' as a slav myself] is too good of a coach to allow his team to be blown out and certainly made good adjustments as the game went on giving them a chance. Defensively, they denied our ball handlers from getting the ball and setting up the offense, leaving some dicey possessions in the clutch, although his choice to leave the game in the hands of Duncan late was a little dubious, given how ineffective he'd been against both Bosh and Bargs all game. Triano showed us once again he doesn't know how to diagram an inbounds play by having to burn 2 timeouts with under 10 left.
All in all, the raps bent but did not break, and the effort especially on the defensive end was solid all game. Good win, too bad the next one against the Magic is already a foregone conclusion... |

We played really well against the Magics, except for that fourth quarter. But wow we won 7 of the last 8 :D GO RAPS GO!! |

| I don't understand why they insist on playing Calderon and Jack together with Jack playing off the ball on the wing. Jack is a horrible wing player. He's great operating from the top of the key but throw him on the wing and tries to play like he's playing from the top of the key and it doesn't work. It didn't work before, it doesn't work now. If Triano keeps playing this line-up I'm going to have to buy myself a new tv because it's only a matter of time before the closest blunt object is making a head on collision with the screen. |

I agree. I don't know what Triano is thinking. 3 ball handlers on the floor is a retarded idea in the first place. It's just so plain to see, a simple +/- of the lineups with jack and jose on the floor together vs when they're not. |

Great win last night however that 4th quarter was horendous.
At least we are at .500!! and only half a game out of the 5th seed :) |

I had hoped that with Calderon injured they would realize what the strengths and weaknesses are but Triano is bent on sabotaging this team with his line ups. It's not a goddamn coincidence that the Magic almost stole this in the 4th, when Jack and Calderon were on the floor together and we only had like 4 points in the paint all quarter. The team has proven to be very effective with Jack/Turk running the show together and either Wright or Weems as the 2. We have no ball handlers coming off the bench so why can't Jose run that squad? Having either Jose or Jack as our 2 is beyond retarded. Neither of them have any sort of physical advantages against opposing 2's so that right there takes away our slashing on offense and we're undersized on defense (although Triano did sub Wright in last night on the defense possessions).
I'm thinking of starting a petition to stop Triano from doing this. Or sending in a question to Colangelo to answer during the game. |

lol, dude....for the first time ever I've actually considered doing something along these lines as well....be it a letter to Triano, Colangelo, email Jack....whatever....but something has to be done about this nonsense. They basically have 3 point guards on the floor at the same time....it's like having three centre's on floor to "hammer the paint"....but gets congested....well it may not appear so....things are congested at the 3 point line....you have 3 guys doing the same thing.
If anything, they need to have Jose playing off the ball as a spot up shooter. Triano is ing retarded....he has the better penetrator playing off the ball, and the better shooter on the ball...ffs. |

in fact, triano has been quoted as to saying he would not have been opposed to putting banks, calderon, and jack on the floor at the same time against certain magic lineups....gimme a min and I'll pull it up. |
