Yeah but these three players specifically WANTS to play with each other. And if anything it'll be Lebron and Wade that might have issues, they have that alpha male attitude. Bosh is a bit more of a pushover and he's just there for the ride.
Say Lebron does sign. Who will be the Captain of the team? Wade or Lebron? Atleast with Celtics, Pierce has been there for a while and the other big two are veterans and don't have as big of an ego as Lebron and Wade. |

it's not epic yet. they still need to fill up the roster and good luck managing those egos, although Riley might be second only to Jackson in being able to handle that. Look for Riley's return to the sidelines if they snag Lebron (though I still say he resigns in Clevland)
from that link:
"It's gotten ridiculous," Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It's almost like a parody of itself this whole situation now. Come on, an hour long? It takes 15 seconds to say I've decided to stay in Cleveland but we've got another 59 minutes and 45 seconds to, what? Promote LeBron James?"
agreed...and good for him for saying so. IMHO, Lebron is coming off like an immature little kid in this whole thing, though I'm sure his team of leeches and 'yes men' are a big reason for that too.
I certainly won't be watching this bull. I'll read about it afterwards.
side note: Allen resigns with Boston for 2yrs, 20mil total. one less 'piece' for Miami, so the pressure continues to build. |
full write up of this:

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy is known for being candid, but he was especially so on Wednesday.
In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Van Gundy opened up about the special ESPN will air on Thursday night as LeBron James announces where he'll play next season and other free-agent topics.
"It takes 15 seconds to say, 'I've decided to stay in Cleveland,' but we've got another 59 minutes and 45 seconds to, what? Promote LeBron James? As if we don't do that enough," said Van Gundy, who will not watch the special.
Van Gundy added that he wasn't surprised to hear that Chris Bosh will join Dwyane Wade in Miami.
He said Bosh has been following Wade around "for two weeks like a lapdog."
Van Gundy added that while free agency has gotten out of control, guys like Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant were still able to get contract extensions with little fanfare.
"It's gotten ridiculous I think. It's really I mean it's almost like a parody of itself this whole situation now," Van Gundy said.
"Look, the guy's a great player and wherever he goes, my bet would be Cleveland, that place will be excited. But an hour long special?"

this off-season is going to hurt the game very badly. IMO, don't have time to explain why right now, but I might later....
As for current news, a sign and trade is in the works for bosh involving 4 teams. Importantly, what comes to the raps is picks and a very large TPE. Chandler, and a handful of others are involved as well. |

^^^ the comment on Bosh was pretty funny, hahaha.
the short of it (how this will hurt the game) is going to be the lockout and the effect this ridiculous little game has on the fans, particularly season ticket holders...never mind the money being thrown around by owners who are 1 year away from crying poor. what a show.
a slightly (lol) less diplomatic take on the situation:
http://deadspin.com/5581889/lebron-james-is-a-
| quote: | Tomorrow is the day LeBron James becomes the most unlikable person in the NBA, and perhaps all of American sports. I used to think he was okay a year ago. No more. He's the villain now.
It doesn't matter where he opts to go. If he goes to Chicago, he's a . If he goes to Miami, he's a . Even if he goes back to Cleveland, he's a goddamn . He's a self-aggrandizing sack of , and ESPN is a bunch of -whipped enablers for giving him a free hour of airtime tomorrow night and inevitably using 55 minutes of it to let Stu Scott give him a rimjob.
Look at what Kevin Durant did today. He signed an extension well before he could have filed for free agency, announced the signing, and then went back about his business. He didn't need all this dog-and-pony show bull. James does, and that means he's a dip. People have been kissing this man's ass SINCE ING MIDDLE SCHOOL, and he still needs this hourlong AFI tribute special? Bull. BULL.
And I don't care that he asked ESPN to use the commercial airtime tomorrow night to go to charity. That's the most transparent use of charity for the sake of self-glorification I've seen since I saw some actor do it yesterday. "Hey ESPN, why don't you spend an hour kissing my ass? Oh, don't worry. We'll give the money to AIDS babies. That totally makes me selfless." No, it doesn't.
And YOU to ESPN for going along with this "Bonds on Bonds" redux. If an ESPN reporter found concrete proof tomorrow morning that James was going to Cleveland or somewhere else, do you think ESPN would let him run with it? AND NO. They'd stick him in a ing Lucite box and throw him in the cellar until 10PM. They're the whoringest whores that have ever whored. I heard they offered LeBron's crew free blowjobs if he wins a title next year. Wilbon asked to blow him JUST A LITTLE BIT. Not much. Just a little bit.
LeBron is now the guy you openly root against. If he leaves Cleveland tomorrow night, he'll have needlessly strung along an entire fanbase and given them the middle finger by making their breakup spectacularly public. If he stays, he'll have spent two years cockteasing the rest of the world about going somewhere else when he probably never wanted to leave Ohio to begin with. There's no end result tomorrow that makes LeBron a sympathetic figure. He's already gone past the point of no return. He's a . Fitting that his most memorable career moment will come when he doesn't even take a ing shot. He's a guy that cares more about the end result of playing basketball – massive, unending adulation – than he does actual basketball.
I don't begrudge him that attitude. I'd be the same way if I were a basketball player. All I'd give a about would be what I make and where I'm drinking tonight. And I don't begrudge him the right to play somewhere other than Cleveland. It's Cleveland. It blows. There's nothing to do in that town except masturbate and cry. But there's a normal way of doing things, and there's the dick way of doing things, and making your own free agency a two-year drama capped off with an infomercial directed by Senor Spielbergo falls squarely in the purview of FLAMING ING DICK MOVES. James is trying to bull the world into believing this whole process is some great entertainment he's lavishing upon you. It's not. It's a con. Right now, a lot of people aren't buying the this man is selling. And really, that's all LeBron James is these days: a ing salesman. |
congrats to Ray Allen and his 20 mil over 2 years...and wow to Hayward's resigning with Dallas (good move for both sides though). |

Lebron is an idiot, IMHO. if he was interested in titles, he'd have signed with Chicago or stayed in Cleveland.
I should maybe bite my tongue, as time will tell...but Riley has a tough task to fill that roster with enough talent to win a title, depending upon what kind of money these three will take.
I like the Raps making an offer to Kleiza. |

But DUDE!! He can shoot 3's!!! |

I said I liked that they made him an offer...I didn't say he was a saviour, lol.
how is he another "euro" when he's played most of his ball in the U.S. and is hardly the standard euro-type player anyway? because his name is "Kleiza"? lol. come on.
he's only 25 and, by most accounts, has improved during his time overseas since leaving Denver, particularly his FG% (well over 50%) and scoring.
it's not about the threes (he does need to be discouraged there)...it's about toughness and half-decent rebounding, which have long been lacking for the Raps. He's not a bad finisher and playing against Carmelo in practice surely taught him something.
4yrs, 18.8 mil isn't cheap, but it's well below the mid-level exception and hardly ridiculous when guys like Travis Outlaw are getting 5yr, 35 mil. contracts.
I assume this offer is being made with an eye towards other moves...especially with the uncertainty surrounding Turk. |
