So, let's say your baby's hand looked like this...

...would you operate or wait until he was 18?

you're treating foreskin as if it were a deformity, you ing idiot. your logic is so ing ridiculous i can't tell if you're taking the piss or not

EVERY male has a foreskin when born. it's there for a purpose. don't mutilate your kid man. furthermore once extra skin grows over the glans, you lose sensation.. every male with a cut dick doesn't feel sex the same as a normal male. sucks to be them.

Operate, obviously. Are you being intentionally dense here?

Context. We were talking about non-emergency medical procedures in infants and the removal of "body parts." There was nothing said about deformities. Learn to talk like an adult. Maybe then your opinion will be taken seriously.

Why is this so obvious? What will be gained by surgery now that couldn't wait until he is an adult?

If the kid never has foreskin it's not like he'll miss it or think about what it would be like to have it. At least, I don't think that would be the case.

I'm cut and I've never thought "Gee, I wish I had foreskin so that this sex was better..." lol.

there was plenty IMPLIED about deformities, because you just tried comparing a deformity to a natural and normal occurring appendage. context is moot when you're comparing two quite obviously different situations, you ignoramus. you uneducated half-wit. you ill-informed nincompoop.

accuse me of not "talking like an adult" all you want, but when you make wild comparisons and spout nonsensical reasoning, nobody takes you seriously.

idiot.

true but you can't speak for everyone, i'm sure there's some dude out there thinking, "i wonder if sex is better with an uncut weiner" and realizing that he'll never know. are you thinking about it now?

and it's not just about the sensation, it's about unnatural bodily modification that provides (in some opinions) more harm than good; done without an individual's choice, due to religious beliefs or faulty beliefs (cleanliness).

in the end you're making the decision for him when there's no harm in making the decision for himself later on in life. what if he wanted his foreskin? too late now kid, we lopped it off before you had the mental capacity to make your own decisions.

I'll make it a little clearer; the issue was whether parents should be able to make a decision to "alter" the appearance of their children in non-life threatening cases.

i have a friend whose parents had this mentality. He hated having foreskin and wishes they would have done it when he was a child so he didnt't have to go through the procedure as an adult.
