I will concede that the question posed does quite sneakily classify us.

Stop posting that .

The daily mail is a TABLOID.

Their article has no proof backing it up. And I can easily prove wrong all their points, which I've done in other posts.

You're a ing idiot.

Oh, and I'm a vegetarian for three reasons, actually.

1. Le Animals

2. Personal Health

3. Environmental

There are lots of reasons to not eat meat; not just the 'insane hippy' ones.

Except, y'know, those dietary experts it quotes in several places.

I also like how you brassily claim you've proven stuff wrong in previous posts, but you went very quiet indeed when your "Man is not evolved to eat meat" argument burst into flames and crash-landed in the ocean.

Why do I feel like the only person in Seattle that doesn't lean towards vegetarianism/veganism? :wtf:

My thoughts on the subject...

I don't care whether or not we are physically or biologically designed to eat meat. As a species, we have been doing it for thousands upon thousands of years regardless of whether or not we were "designed to". Ethical questions regarding how the meat ends up on my table can certainly be raised, as I don't support a lot of what goes on. However, when it all comes down to it, it simply does not bother me that a cow died for the steak that I had last night, or that a pig died for the tasty beer brats that are sitting in my fridge for tomorrow night's dinner.

I realize that I cannot justify it any further than, "because I can, and because I like it." If someone has a problem with that, tough.

I hear vegetarians get easily irritable when people don't agree with them. It's the lack of iron.

And .

I see no quotes or links to studies.

And I still maintain Man isn't evolved to eat meat. I'll write more on this in a little bit, don't worry ;)

In fact, here's a quick little chart I forgot I had :)

Meat-eaters: have claws

Herbivores: no claws

Humans: no claws

Meat-eaters: have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue

Herbivores: perspire through skin pores

Humans: perspire through skin pores

Meat-eaters: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding

Herbivores: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Humans: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Meat-eaters: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly

Herbivores: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Humans: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Meat-eaters: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat

Herbivores: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Humans: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Meat-eaters: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.

Herbivores: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits

Humans: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Meat-eaters: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Herbivores: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Humans: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Based on a chart by A.D. Andrews, Fit Food for Men, (Chicago: American Hygiene Society, 1970)

The one thing that's always bothered me about the vegetarian argument is the treatment of animals. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think it's right that they 'suffer' or anything like that...but for sake these animals are bred for the sole purpose of being food. They know nothing other than eating, sleeping, ting and eventually slaughter. It's not as if farmers are going into the wild and kidnapping cow families like some sort of Nazi regime :stongue:

Can you imagine that?

"Honey I'm home, you'll never believe what happened at the off-...honey? No...no it can't be, no- nMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

They taste good and I don't like animals.
