also not everyone is a misanthrope - a lot of us are actually more then just tolerant of others

Humans will tolerate other humans being around them....if one human enters a territory that another human has claimed they will either accept that person into their territoy or won't. If you accept them into your territory you will be friendly towards them and allow them into your social circle. If you don't accept them then you will either tell them to off or show weakness and remove yourself from the territory.

edit: We haven't evolved above our natural animal instincts...its nice to think that but we haven't.

there are also a point that a dude has assessed a girl whether she's either worth, or likely odds of boning occuring. this may be a split second or a long time in deciding...
at that point, the guy decides whether a girl is worthy of friendship or not...

Has this convo gone so long that you're starting to repeat what I already said???

Can you please elaborate? I have a hard time believing that. We are animals, but human is a far step up from a pack of lions.

But the basic characteristic is as Chem said...

It's that one step up that allows us to expand from there...

But the core behaviour is the same as any other social animal...

As I think about it, i get it. "natrual" is the key word. I just dont really like how it fits in the discussion, way too many variables to get off topic with.

With that being said, Funky's statement should have read " being friendly is something that now comes naturally to me"

:)

seems like on subconscious level, humans do behave from their baser, more animalistic instincts. and it takes conscious thoughts to override more primal human instincts

for example, attractive girl walks by. most dudes will look. it's not because the dude is looking to cheat on his gf, but it's ingrated in genetics to look out for potential mates. it's a survival thing and dudes do it probably from subconscious level

if a dude doesn't look, he's either gay, or he's so whipped that he should be removed from the gene pool for being such a disgrace to manhood

so girls, don't be so hard on guys if he looks at an another girl, as long as it's just a look, and no touch :p
