not exactly.
people can be friends with whoever they want.
they can't be best best best best friends with the opposite sex without it eventually turning into a relationship (for straight people at least) or the friendship disappearing when the two people start dating other people.
Gay relationships and friendships have a whole different level of complexity that I can't really talk about since I have no idea about it. |

lol. come on here in 5 years and let us know how that turns out. i gurantee you, that either the friendship won't last, or that you will be dating unless he is very ugly and undateable and therefore he is your best friend like a dog is your best friend. |

well, don't you have to like the person even a little bit to be friends with them? and therefore, the thought of "i wonder how it would be to have sex with that person", is there at some point and maybe it eventually goes away, but it was there or will be there in the future. |
