I agree, but this is primarily the original intention of gesturing a friendship or making a friend ship, most times you get into the friend ship and realize the girl has many other qualities or reasons to be her friend and you may realize that you actually admire and appreciate her friendship even if you didn't have the chance to sleep with her...
(But you'd still bang the out of her if the oppurtunity arose)

I disagree. I think there's a difference btwn a guy actually wanting to sleep with a girl friend and a guy saying "ya, I'd sleep with her if she wanted to". I don't think that all guys actively desire to sleep with their girl friends. But I think they probably all would sleep with them if the girl wanted to.
Though, obviously I'm a girl and I can't say for sure. lol |
Lisa has got it right... guys may not actively seek or try to get sex from thier female friend, because *SHOCK* some guys actually have a consiousence and don't want to either ruin the friendship, hold thier friendship in higher regard or repsect the girls feelings and worried about the repecussions of the advance. But if she said, hey, let's ... he may be apprehensive at first, but he'd do it.
Lisa is my friend, I do not actively hit on her, seek out sex from her, make advances to her, we carry on as we do enjoying each other's company, hanging out, being friends....now if sometime one day if Lisa said "Sandeep let's hit the bedroom" (And it was cool with Ian ;) ) yada yada yada.... we'd still be friends
She is the only one who hit the nail on the head so far in this thread...

This applies for guys who enter the friendship with these hopes...
+1
As for guys who kinda just end up in the friendship, then realize they want to hit that... they may not HOPE, but they would...
Ohh and BTW...the original topic/post.... story of my IN life! :whip: |

babes ~ the thing is - I agree with your viewpoint so I don't get why you are questioning me? From the start of this thread I have been stating that it's very very difficult for a woman and man to be close friends.... I pointed out my particular friendship solely because I am fully-aware that it goes against the "norm". |

See I don't believe that theory at all. I have completely platonic relationships with girls of the straight and gay variety. I don't mind sleeping with my friends, but its not the basis of our relationships - ever.
I also have amazing friendships with guys who I know would never sleep with me, and I with them. Its not about attraction or sexuality, but its levels of friendship.
But of course.. there are always the select few ..
Maybe I just have great friends who understand the meanings of friendship and sex. |
hi how you doing? :toothless |

haha - trying to be vague but seriously - I'm irritated but I find it more amusing than anything and do probably get too personal when I'm in "debate-mode" .... I tend to pull all my arguments from personal experience.
Anywayssss I love you too :p |

That's true:p
They feel less threatened by that off-market penis or they just want to tease and test your limits:p |

Sorry Lisa, like others said in here before...from what little I know about this, I doubt a girl and guy can be friends UNLESS they get past all that...

well, don't you have to like the person even a little bit to be friends with them? and therefore, the thought of "i wonder how it would be to have sex with that person", is there at some point and maybe it eventually goes away, but it was there or will be there in the future. |
Yep. This is my thinking exactly. Why walk up to someone and be interested in friendship in the begining if there is no attraction of some kind? (Physically).
This leads me to believe women who have nothing but many many guy friends can be awesome b/c they don't have to deal with certain things from being friends with women but imo those guy friends are just out for one thing and one thing only (for the majority of the time...) but we'll save that for another thread....lol

I actually just asked a guy right now b/c I don't believe that all guys want to sleep with all of their girl friends. He said that if a guy is single he'd probably want to sleep with some of his girl friends, but he's not friends with them just b/c he wants to sleep with them. He said some guys are friends with girls just b/c he thinks she's cool and doesn't have sexual feelings towards them. | He said some guys are friends with girls just b/c he thinks she's cool and doesn't have sexual feelings towards them.
Maybe for the part that's bolded that happens AFTER they got past the attraction part but why be friends with them to begin with unless they really are that cool and can get past the physical part? When I first see a woman why do I start talking to her? B/c of her personality? No way...that comes into play after. |

Why is that ? | one of those utter bull behaviour that SOME girls engage in that baffles me
ps; death to the ladder theory and 'friend zone' |

I think this is the key. I agree and think it's safe to say that in most cases, the only time you can truly be friends with someone from the opposite sex is if you've explored the physical option - either by thinking it over mentally or by actually "doing" and decided it wouldn't work. It's still extremely rare though because 9 times out of 10, the guy would bolt if there's no potential for banging. (lol @ "banging" ~ bang: my new word :p) |
