less floats meaning more international djs spread out with different genres on different floats or not many international djs and more focus on locals?

no expansion, actually there will be fewer floats occupying the same amount of space--with an emphasis on production quality and chaos control. i was at the producer's round table meeting last night and heard a lot of good dialogue about big changes this year to preserve and improve the quality of experience. what i'm hoping for is more outreach from dependable volunteers to make sure the execution is smoother.

I've only been to Lovefest twice. I loved the first year I went. Last year, for me, it was way overcrowded. And filled with alot of f*cked up minors and thugs. 3 bloody fights broke out...all at different floats. WTF! I don't know if if I was at the wrong place at the wrong time, or if other people had the same experience. I just hope they at least raise the price of the donation and/or least have an age restriction to get rid of the riff-raff. Granted, its still a great festival, great cause and I can't wait to attend again this year.

focus on locals. correct me if i'm wrong, but its up to each float to book there own djs. its rare to see a "non-local" playing

Agreed. Even the 2008 festival was too crowded and had too many kids. It seems to get worse - not better - every year.

I hope the organizers have a plan to fix things...

I have been hung over at the start of every Love Parade. Looking to change that this year but highly doubt it.

me being "cheap" :p last year resulted in good fortunes for DaveT and DizcoKidd. Dizco, I have the same hotel booked again this year, similar rate too :)

Yo Omar, im locked in right? I already have those dates marked on my calendar and yeah, there is a difference between cheap and knowing how to find good deals. I partied with Omar in SF, Vegas and LA in the past few weeks and I can vouch for that.

This will be my first LovEvolution and based on my experience in SF 3 weeks ago, I cant wait!
