| If no candlestick least we still got some good events for us locals. not something i see worth flying into unless people know others in the bay area or want to take a trip down anyways - but still, nice to have some of these events take place. |

Again, great news for those who have bought non-refundable tickets to SF for this event. At least I made it there in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009! Seven is a really lucky number though, so I'm hoping that it happens again... |

burning man, where the real party is at. all these bm photos on fb makes me want to go. just need to plan properly, can't do it last minute. |

But, according to city officials, LovEvolution promoters showed up at a meeting Wednesday with little more than a drawing of the parking lot with a fence around it.
"It's clearly a popular event, but we aren't going to cut corners with public safety," said Tony Winnicker, a spokesman for Mayor Gavin Newsom.
Promoters were put off by having to get Recreation and Park permits - something they didn't think they could secure in time for the Oct. 2 party date.
Hence the talk of moving to somewhere in Oakland.
"We'll likely have a meeting next week to decide what to do," said event manager John Wood. "Right now, most of our board of directors is up at Burning Man."
