i always come off the plane partying hard into friday night which leads into saturday morning and the parade. i got full force until the parade is over and i'm left freezing once the sun goes down.
i then head back to hotel to regroup, eat, shower and sleep for a few hours and then get up around 4-5 am to get ready to head over to the End Up for the madness that takes place all day there :) it has worked perfectly for me the last 2 years. i don't usually like the big trance djs that they get at the bill graham civic center so i pass on those. the smaller parties they get on saturday are great but i would rather save my energies for sunday ;) |

I have been hung over at the start of every Love Parade. Looking to change that this year but highly doubt it. |
lol! An almost unavoidable consequence with all the events on Friday night.
Each year, I seem to have been more and more prepared for the "marathon" and not the "sprint".
Good luck! (We're all gonna need it.) |

Yo Omar, im locked in right? I already have those dates marked on my calendar and yeah, there is a difference between cheap and knowing how to find good deals. I partied with Omar in SF, Vegas and LA in the past few weeks and I can vouch for that.
This will be my first LovEvolution and based on my experience in SF 3 weeks ago, I cant wait! |
ya homie we're set! Friday October 1 - Monday October 4th. Now we just keep an eye out for flight deals :-)
and i'll make sure there is a bottle of red label ready for you over at our open bar! ;)

if its you and a lady and want a nice place to stay, i recommend the harbor court on steuart which is close to starting parade route.

| take it from a 5-year veteran, it's never a good idea to go full-bore into the pre-parties. you want to wake up on saturday full of energy and anticipation, not half-drained and hanging on by a thread. it took me several years to wake up to this fact because every year there's always a great preparty line up--but if you hear those preparty djs playing on friday, saturday, and sunday, the friday set is always a mere warning salvo by comparison. the main event and the afterparties are always always always better than the preparties. that's going to be more of a factor this year since the float producers have pretty much unanimously agreed to start saturday an hour earlier (in order to reduce the parade chaos and ease the crush into the festival grounds). there will also be an age limit to keep the image positive. the politics surrounding nightlife in sf is toeing a fine line and the last thing this city needs is a reason to bring the hammer down on edm entertainment. the reduced float count is meant to reduce sound bleed, improve the experience along the side streets, put pressure on producers to follow rules so that they can return next year (only 1 in 4 applications make it in every year), and to increase production value across the board (some of the revenue earned from last year will be put back into helping producers with creative concepts realize their vision). on a final note, i hear some people talk of bad experiences in past lovefests, but you should note where that stuff happens and realize that there are some floats that year after year have nothing but the absolute best vibes through and through. if you don't want to see ed up kids or fights or the jack off man, you should explore the festival grounds more. i'm not gonna tell you where to go and where not to go, but every year has been nothing short of amazing for me. |

Excellent! Hopefully it's 18+ unless accompanied by a parent or guardian...
