it was 2004. ultra was the opening party and then conference went through till like the wednesday or thurs or some .
i remember seeing pvd @ space friday night, then ultra saturday, and armin/markus/the crystal method/m.i.k.e./harry lemon @ mansion the tuesday night. weird but yea.
but this is totally out of whack. weeks in between the two? :wtf: |

its just bad for business. ultra will draw less people and so will wmc because people have to choose. also artists will have to choose when to come because staying or going to both isnt really realistic. wmc is known for the variety and a lot of that will be taken away if the two split. |

I dislike the whole ultra thing because DJ's only play an hour of their greatest hits but if it occurs on a different week/weekend it could have a negative impact on the DJ's that are available for the typical pool parties, club nights, etc. it would in fact be a fail if ultra doesnt move their dates
besides, i wanted to pay for most of my trip again by selling Ultra tickets
Lets just hope ultra doesnt kidnap swamper again and force him to not allow us to post the timeslots |

you're right. I'm just being selfish and would prefer to enjoy WMC without that clusterf*ck going on. |

Well if they are both on separate weekends, it makes thing extremly difficult. Maybe it has to do with all the 'exclusives - only at Ultra' DJs they had last year.
Well Ibiza again it is for me next year. |

i totally get you. and if the two split it would actually be better for those of us in miami cuz then we could do both. but if both events are going to be worse because of that well then that sucks and might not be worth it to begin with.
what i would prefer is for wmc to be this new announced week, have ultra move their up and have armin drop asot500 out from ultra and have asot500 at an actual venue here in miami on that same announced date. that way i can enjoy wmc, skip ultra, and actually go to an asot500 show that wont blow (like it will if its at ultra). |
