we were hoping so as well, but as we all well know, Ultra commands and contracts their DJs not to do ANY other shows during Ultra weekend...so he'd have to be a "special guest" and it's gonna cost a lot of $$ assuming his slot at Ultra isn't on Friday or Saturday and its even possible...
sigh. i think after this year people will finally learn Ultra is really destructive to our culture, its not helping... |

he would be free to do something wednesday or thursday i would think... i'm assuming he plays ultra friday if he has to be in LA on that Sat... unless he goes to LA Sat nite and returns to Miami sunday (possible but unlikely IMO). |

Tikkis are on Thurs/Fri so not too possible there. Sunday School will be seriously lacking if he's not there.... |

Interesting to see on so many boards that no one is excited Hybrid is there doing a LIVE show...
A few years ago people would be talking about that. Sad to see their relevance taking a huge hit, even with the new album out. |

They quit doing their orchestra live show years ago, their live show is almost a joke now like a jackal and hyde live pa type thing. At least it was like that at the last two shows i saw of theirs live |

yep agreed...saw em at Ultra i wanna say 3 years ago, when they threw down the Radiohead "Everything in Its Right Place" remix and Filter, that picture song... that was the very last great set I've heard from then since. Very sad, Hybrid was one of the first EDM acts i got into big time after i got a copy of Wide Angle with their press kit yeeeeeaaaars ago (i feel old..) |

dont think joris is enough of a big name dj to have an exclusivity contract, last year eric morillo was at ultra for example and did his own show at LIV and i would think he is of a bigger name then joris.
so hope is still there, they will probably give him a ty early slot lik3 8 pm giving him time to throw it down afterhours, one can hope. |
