| It's going to come down to everyone choosing one week over the other.....and it's gonna be the Ultra week. Keep in mind WMC is not even really a music event....it's supposed to be a networking fest for people in the industry. Ultra has a huge advantage. Add in the fact that a lot of the big acts are already booked for the Ultra week and there you have the death of WMC. |

I just dont get why they are doing this... So it look like my trip is still end of march then? So since is not wmc... Will there NOT be opening and closing parties? If its not on WMC dates then were really not doing wmc.. I guess is now just a vacation.

| If I were Ultra I'd take full advantage of this and turn it into Ultra Music Conference. Doesn't matter what the week is called but the formula of day/night parties all week leading up to a huge festival is a proven winner |

i agree with what your saying, but the longer we wait the more $ we will have to spend on hotel/flight
they usually dont start announceing partys till around new years
i already had to cancel the payment on a condo i had booked for mar 22-27 cause of this announcement today...now i found another one for the week of the 8th-13th for alot cheaper (guess they dont know yet about the new wmc week :toothless ) and iam debating to take it or not, or just wait a lil longer and lose out on it in order to see when the parties will be
it's a headache |

No no no. As of right now, all indications are that the parties are happening during the week of ULTRA, not WMC.
It's looking like the only thing happening during WMC are the WMC panels. |

thanks, again i like what iam hearing and maybe i could get my old condo back, but things can change
ultra will probly do some shady anyway where if a dj plays at ultra they cant play at the other week or at another venue during that ultra week
and the ultra week...do you think it will be from the 22nd to the 27th? or it will just be during ultra friday,sat,sun? |

| All kidding aside, I do feel sorry for out-of-towners. Because while the dates have been announced for WMC and UMF no one knows for sure what DJs will be here which weeks until parties actually start getting announced. As for us in South Florida this is actually great because there will be parties both weeks for us to go to. WMC existed long before UMF & there have always have been parties attached to it. What else can a bunch of producers, record-label execs, DJs, etc do @ night while in town, and does anyone really think all the clubs in town will be closing the week of WMC ... |

you have no idea how much of a headache i have now cause of this lol
its deff good for people in florida cause you get all these parties and such
like i said before ultra might do some shady where they will have alot of the artists be "exclusive" to ultra and if they spin at ultra they cant spin at the wmc week of march 8-12 or at any other venue during the supposedly "ultra week"
i think iam just gonna stick with what i have for now march 22-27th
if it's not the good week to be there then whatever i will just make a vacation out of it |
