Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one who pulled that flag. I saw this on a FB group and said the same thing:
"Lots of big names, but very generic"
I fear the NYC lineup will be very similar to that. Lose N&R, add Eco, and maybe another tweak here and there and it will probably end up looking like Miami 1.5. |

Every time i hear a big festival i always click to see if there is a proper line up. i always fall for it.
seriously. how many time have you seen this line up... what a waist of hype.
i mean Costner and Gereth Emery are playing withing this month. ATB was here recently. same goes for the rest of these djs. and its is not like they play different records at different shows. nope. its the same songs, over and over again. and most of those songs suck. i mean really boring stuff. how can people go and enjoy this. |

| in pathetic. I wasn't expecting much but always have some hopes. Trance fans get teased and played around with than no other genre that I can think of. It's taken its toll on me. I stopped listening to ASOT altogether anyways now so who am I to complain but at the same time I, like many of us, still don't want to see the genre continue to take a deep fall (mainstream wise anyways) with these massive "trance" events. Armin is a straight up bitch. He thinks hes saving trance or keeping trance alive but in reality he's doing the exact opposite. What a bull lineup at Miami. And frankly the others are lame too aside from Den Bosch. I don't even live remotely close to NY but still would like to see a good lineup for the fans of NYC. |

| And that's the worst part of it all. People's expectations for the quality of the tracks and the overall build of a set are terribly low. They only expect one thing and that's to get super high. So it doesnt matter who happens to be on the decks. As long as the sound system is loud and the stage & lights production is good enough to trip them out. The rest doesnt mean to anyone anymore. These new age fans are more pre-occupied of what their colour combination of their candy ass clothing is going to be and posting & tagging pics of themselves on their fb timeline just so they could say they were at some "epic" party. That's what trance in the mainstream world has become. Following the footsteps of commercial DJ's who play pop music. :( |

plur was a term formed by frankie knuckles back in Detroit. or so he claimed on myspace forums. which i think its pretty neat if its true.
plur actually blew up as a term in raves and between candy kids. it is an abbreviation of peace , love, unity , respect! it was a code of conduct in raves. |
