“I am a firm believer in not over-exposing myself,” he said. “I will do less A State Of Trance gigs next year. I’ll tell you why: I think it’s essential that I actually do what I talk about. I always say I want to promote new talent, and with ASOT I am doing that. It’s essential that I reach crowds all over the world and get them to join a global trance family. I want to try new territories every year.”

Excerpt from INTHEMIX I hope this means he will start bringing other acts to these shows instead of Dash, Gareth, Sander, and etc. I'm hoping for more of the less "superstars" to be at these gigs.

lolololol at his first line, this coming from a guy who just came out with a dvd about himself lol riteeeee
yea i hear ya, last few asot parties have been pretty much the same dj's spinning the same sets!!!! lol
time for armin to be a man of his word and book some dj's who still know the meaning of trance as well as for himself to bring the genre back to the masses as he once did |

Miami was by far the worst. I think I spent my time during Gareth, Sander, and Dash's set taking a dump or getting food/resting. If that's any indication of what I think of them. :stongue: |

i know the feeling
at wmc 2010 at ferrys party solarstone opened things up sooooo beautifuly one of the best prog trance opening sets i heard
then once cosmic gate came on i went into this other room and took a nap and had my friend wake me up when ferry came on |

miami got announced at the end of the show, i think for mistake.

I have no idea why W&W are still getting lumped with other trance acts. I saw these guys spin recently and all I heard was electro, dubstep and trouse. Even thier recent track with Marcel Woods doesnt contain one trance element in it.
If I had my way, Armin would do 2 nights in NYC. The first would be Armin only, and the second night would be the asot party where he showcases up and coming talent. |

ah in that case pier 94 was be good...
if it was at barclays are people actually in the area with the seats?? i assumed it would be down on the floor... dancing in seats is lame |

It would be both, and I think Barclays has decent amount of open areas in the seats to dance, but yea it would still be lame. I'll have to see how Barclays is for sensation. MSG was good, but I was on the floor....in the seats must have been a little weird |

I had a great time at ASOT 450 and Eco will probably be djing as well. I don't mind trouse since I like both trance and house. This party will be great. |
