Wait, WHAT?

got fun just now?
This one has been meandering all over the place and been fun for a while.
We've had:
metal
hardcore
etc.
Actually worth going back!

Violet you misunderstand:
no one here must know jack, after all Duhdooo knows all about trance, 'cause he went to Armin, like, last year.

It was bad....I disliked it.

Definitely:
if you dislike it, it MUST be bad, after all you'd never listen to anyting that's not quality!

Dude, if you felt that was a waste of your time, you should have gone to the Cocoon Resideny party on Sunday.

Oh wait, you happened by the Sunday School tent on your way to Guetta from the porta-potties and said to yourself: what's that crap coming from this little tent out back, what a waste of space , so Cocoon would've sucked for sure

now, if you want some fun music, go back to the middle of this thread (about 250+) and look for the vids posted there, esp. the hardcore

wrong city. helped out in the former Turkish colony, bringing such stellar trance acts as:

Dash Berlin
Myon & Shane54

to Sofia.

I normally don't reply to stuff like this... but your post just seems blatantly ignorant or just flat out ridiculous.

If you seen them many times then dont go.

I think I speak for many of us that we WON'T be going because we won't be sheep to this machine that churns out the same stuff show after show after show. Especially when it starts costing $100+ every time.

you can go see em anytime at any other events.

Eco I think played two of three times last year and that's it. The majority of it is in the more 'underground' parties in Brooklyn.

No kidding Captain Obvious. When you move from a venue that can support 5-6k to one that can hold upwards of 14k, its pretty obvious the line is for quantity (of tickets sold), not quality (of the actual show).

Trance just got much bigger in NYC recently again and I guess he wants to promote ASOT/Trance/Armada crew.

No trancey-house is what got popular (Gareth, Dash, etc). There is a reason that guys like Solarstone, J00F, etc. have never really come through like guys such as Ferry, Markus, etc.

But worst choice venue wise...

I think a lot of us agree there.

I think line up isn't that bad even though I saw all of them already last year. Markus twice. Ferry once.

Look at the lineups all over for ASOT 600. Markus, Ferry, and Dash are in half of them. Hell the NYC lineup is bascally half of Miami's. It's quite pathetic to be honest, no originality.

And about Dash, stop calling him trash. I know hes been playing dub and house lately but he is still considered one of the best djs/producers.

So many hits and etc. There are reasons why hes famous.

Dash is commercial/sing-a-long/poppy trance/house. Take what you want for it. Some of his tracks aren't bad, but his sets tend to be very similar. I heard him twice in about a year span and most of the tracks I heard were the same ones he played the first time.

And educate yourself on 'him'... Dash Berlin is a three man group with the DJ as the front-man and two ghostwriter producers who were formerly the Vengaboys and Alice Deejay. If that's not commercial/pop, I dunno what is.

Also, another note.

After party aly/flia and other dude john

It was bad....

I disliked it.

If you thought that party sucked... you have no musical soul, at least for trance. Pretty much everyone I know that went to that party, whether they are a trance 'purist' or someone into the newer trancey-house (I fall somewhere in between) LOVED that show. That B2B set was probably the best I heard the entire weekend.

I wouldve loved it if Myon&Shane was on the line atleast though.

W&W good choice.

Yeah this pretty much shows where your mindset is. If you think the likes of W&W and M&SH54 (who were pop artists back in Europe before turning to 'trance' btw) then yeah you should never go near anyone who plays above 132BPM. Either that or dig in some pre-2005 trance hits and see what trance USED to sound like.

Originally posted by nuhdoooo Ferry plays cheese but awesome. House isn't that bad after all you know.

Ferry has ALWAYS been a mixed bag. Its just lately he plays more of the 'popular' trancey-house kinda music. He's still a good DJ, like Markus, Armin, etc. They just don't play the kind of music they used to, which is where people get pissed.

I'm a total trance snob, and I loved that show. JoC and A&F killed it, especially the 2nd half of their set. BRILLIANT!

Well armada marketing definitely seems to be working because it is making the name trance more popular all around the world. Without all these marketing there won't be much "trance" near future after all of u guys turn 50.
Listen people the new generation is attracted to more POP like trance. it is what it is you can hate it but you can't stop it.
and for the guy who posted oh he only played in nyc 3 times last year. (brooklyn is part of nyc) even if its underground scene or not.
All thanks to artists like dash, ferry that trance is getting more of its name and people can go back into history by taking the interests in the genre. rather you like it or not time moves on and people want to hear different stuff.
stop calling it garbage and just try to listen to it.
house/dubstep/trance/hardstyle are all beautiful in its own way. (even though i dislike hardstyle)

thats all i had to say.

and like u guys call dash garbage, I disliked alyflia and the "OTHER DUDE" john.

who cares if u play 128bpm 132bpm 200bpm 10294301294bpm. it doesn't matter.

as long as ppl like it and dj/producers put their heart into it, its beautiful in its own way.
