I am very reluctant to go on medication for that very reason. I know people who have done the same thing and now find it impossible to sleep without it.
But I do tend to read before I try and sleep, perhapps i should leave this for a while, but there are certainly no distractions in my room, the only time I'm ever in there is to sleep, however I do listen to music at night.. only very quiet music and real ambient stuff, I find that the silence starts to irritate me after a while (where I live there are no car noises or anything, dead silence)
But my mind being distracted isn't an issue, most nights I think about alsolutly nothing, I just lye in bed with an empty head, occasionally looking over at the clock, I can usually tell what time I went to sleep by what the clock said the last time I looked at it.
But medication will be an extream measure, I will seek professonal help before I consider it, for the moment though I will just put up with it I spose but if it becomes a real problem (as it might with my days now starting an hour earlier than they used to) then I might book in a session with a sleep therapist. |
hmm... my 2c, helped by the male anatomy... get a gf... be 'intimate'... no more sleep problems... except the nice silent treatment all the next morning... ;) lol...

Melbourne Cup - Like a woman on her rags, everyone suddenly talks about horses within a blink of an eye. I'm sick of hearing "I've got my money on..." "Blah blah this horse got scratched," "Pick it out of the hat" "I hope I get the favourite"
World Cup - Suddenly the whole public is a football expert, mentioning average players, who I've never ever heard before. |
