Why do ads suck nowadays?
Where are all the good ads?
Surely the agencies can come up with something better
*something better*
And I still wouldn't buy a Hyundai

i gave my seminar as part of my honours project today, i had a brief section on geochemistry of basalt samples just to see if there was any differences between 2 eruption centres. i presented the data that showed there was differences and gave a possible explanation for them. i said that the geochemistry is not an important part of the project and was done to highlight any differences, which i've just shown.

i lose marks for not having enough detail in geochemistry

^^ yeah, i hate it when i get bagged out for not knowing enough geochemistry. its a real chip on my shoulder, glad im not the only one :tongue2

haha off
its not that i didnt know it, its that the markers commented that there should have been more detail in that part of my talk and more analysis, after i already explained in the talk that it is only a minor part of my project and was only really done to show one thing, which i did. im actually pretty happy with it, i got a good mark and everyone said it was a good talk, i was just annoyed that the things i seem to have lost marks for were either not that necessary and i presented them already or things that were out of my control and i did the best i could with what i had.

hehe, i know why youre pissed off man. sounds like you had a valid reason to be.

i never got an opportunity to present my dissertation :( i REALLY wanted to go toe-to-toe with the rabid feminist lecturer that tore strips off me in my pre-dissertation presentation. ing bitch.
Philby

pfft you know your heart is aching over the fact that you missed it, don't try to act all cool and tough
Trance Nutter
how long was the presentation?

Did you have a viva/defence or question time afterwards or just a seminar?

Philby
it was 15 mins and then questions, they weren't as hardcore as i was scared of i think, just didn't have all the info that related to them :(
and of course afterwards i remember some stuff that would have made some of my answers better lol
but overall i think it was good, and im happy with it, so far this year i've reached my goals in terms of marks, now just need to make this thesis worthy :nervous:
Trance Nutter
I hate you:(

We handed in our thesis then 2 weeks later had our presentations. 20 mins, 10 mins of questions from the audience then 30 minute defence (hardcore questions from the thesis examiners, the "why didn't you do this", "I question this result" kind of questions).
I definitely knew the "oh why didn't I say that" feeling after the defence.
