Nowhere did I said I approved the reasons why the cops needed to use ETF on the club. What I did said was to describe how to control a large crowd by a small number using automatic weapons and reasons why you'd need to.
Try to herd couple hundred drunk and drugged people only using your voice in a short time. I can guarantee you that it doesn't work.
And yeah, I've had a loaded assaulted rifle pointed at me before by an idiot. I didn't my pants, but it was... unpleasant. |

as much as I enjoy clicking 'refresh' and reading everyones posts...
There is clearly not much here but speculation as to whether the police used excessive force until we learn more about the situation.
They obviously had suspicions. Warrants are not frivolously handed out. I'm sure in their minds this was the best potential chance to 'find what they where searching for'. Which superseeds everything else.
Its very sad that innocent folks were harassed in the process. I'm hoping they will be somehow compensated for the stresses they endured.
Edit: I know I was all for UC/Narcs in earlier posts, but after thinking about, why are we assuming that the police didn't evaluate every potential strategy and this was their only course of action that provided a chance for success. I would like to believe that the Police force has intel, and is organised enough to avoid this kind of mess. I refuse to believe it was for 'show'. But either way, wtf do I know...its still all speculation. |

again assumption is the up of your nature, couple of hundred drunk people??? get this for a change, only VIP Lounge of Republik was locked down. what is the capacity of the VIP Lounge @ Republik, does anyone know??? and you are telling me that for the capacity of the VIP the TPS had to execute an ETF that staffs 70 ppl, not to mention OPP, RCMP, AGCO armed to their teeth? |
