We don't know the full story.
Maybe there was a big drug ring going on in Republik.
Maybe it's just the city and the cops sending a message to clubland. (Because stuff like this would have to be okayed by higher ups)

So you're saying you don't think there was any drug activity going on, and the raid was just to scare people away from clubland so they can build condos and not based on anything other than that? |

DID THEY HAVE TO DO WHAT THEY SUPPOSEDLY DID?
Couldnt they make a quiet arrest at this person's house? Or as he came outside? They apparently came in like we were David Koresh and the branch dividians..
Even if the warrant holds true its my opinion that excessive force was used and allegedly caused harm to many many people for such a non issue. |

Like you said, you don't know the full story.
Jay, I'm not debating it must have been traumatizing for the patrons. But it could have very well caused people to be upset regardless of whether excessive force was used or not.
If you didn't see it happen, and you don't know the scale of the activity in there (which I'm presuming you don't, and if you do, you're certainly not going to admit it here) - then you can't really argue that this or that was necessary or not. |
