I don't think many of us give a rat's ass about whether you respect us or not.
But, your purpose in this thread is to promote awareness on a certain issue. Belittling people who you want to reach out with your message and want support from isn't going to work in your favour. |

What's that exactly ? That the city is gunning for the clubs ? Perhaps...my point though was to illustrate how people suddenly get upset and angry when the system s with them. But when it's happening to someone else, well...then it's easy to sit back and say, yeah, they're just victims, they're just whining, reverse-racism...blah blah blah. But once the shoes on the other foot, suddenly you want people to care about your plight.
I just thought it was amusing given your sticks and stones response.
With regards to this incident. Yeah, it doesn't look good. Reminds me of NYC 10 years ago when the NYPD were actively storming clubs in their effort to clean up the city. Then again, their damned if they do, and damned if they don't. At least now you have a reason to say " da police" and mount the soapbox. |

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but from what i've heard from a friend who's a staff member, this all happened because of an incident 2 months ago!
The "drug trafficking" didn't happen this past weekend. |

LOL, come on now, drug trafficking happens every week....in almost every club. Lets not pretend that it's an isolated incident. Republik just got unlucky...or they don't pay the 'right' people.
Tell em to talk to the guys who run CZ. Bet cha it'll never happen again. ;) |
