1) Old age homes are not filled with 500+ drunk and drugged up people who are unpredictable and possibly dangerous/violent in moments of high-stress.
2) If a club is involved (and I'm not implying Republik is) in the distribution/sale of drugs - who knows what type of people and weapons they have on hand to enforce their territory, protect their stash and protect their cash. |

Can anyone NOT see how ing serious this situation is?
Who cares whether he was an employee or not. He is one, that's probably why he CANNOT REVEAL ANY MORE DETAILS.
Last time I check, we do have a TORONTO EVENT LISTINGS - which advertises events in CLUB like republik. In fact, I'm sure many of have already attended this club [pre-wemf, dnb e.t.c.] and this could happen to any one of us at any event.
What was one of the solutions?

The accused was the corporate manager of the club - so yes, a warrant to search the club and arrest the suspect (at the place of business) is reasonable. |

Ok then why not do it at 10pm when the doors open and there is a minimal amount of people inside???
I just think the situation could have been handled better. |

| EvilTree I think if an MP5K sub-machine was shoved in your face by one of the ETF officers while you were djing. You would of been ting out bricks, but since you are sitting at the comfort of your home or work and typing up your analysis of the story, you can defiantly claim that the police officers had all the rights to what they've done to patrons and staff at Republik. |

Which is exactly why the police should not have raided the club at 1.00am when the club is the most full, and the patrons are the most intoxicated. The fact that they did this proves they were just using scare tactics.
This story disgusts me. I will be keeping an eye open for developments here. |
