Now im waiting for everyone to jump all over loca's story since "she wasnt there herself" ...Skipper, any comments on that?
Thanks Loca for having some common sense after reading all this.
Also where is the commentary on "dark Entity"'s account of the events since he says he was actually there? Hmmmmm
And flec, id like to know who those barbacks are because they obviously werent in the VIP section. |

I believe JayX1; not only was he in the club before but he was also in the club AFTER the events, which leads me to believe he might be more knowledgeable than the people who were partying on the ground floor.
|
Jay was on the ground floor of Republik too. He wasn't in the V.I.P area. Being in the club before doesn't mean anything. I was there when it started. As for the aftermath, I don't think I said to much about it.

As for the 100 ETF comment? Well guess what, people do exaggerate. When you're in a club and you suddenly see 20-30 ETF storm it i think your mind is more likely to go in shock and make it seem like there were 100s of them.
|
Exactly. This has been one of previous points.

Another thing, KKEFKA you say your only beef with Jay's account is the number of ETFs, yet in your post you seem to be discounting pretty much everything he stated...
|
Jay exaggerated what he saw. Then he came on here and told an account of what he heard happen. Which, I'm sure is also exaggerated. Then he goes on with his condo conspiracy. Plus he works for the club. I know that working for the club doesn't automatically mean he's biased, but in this case I believe it does.
I'm sorry, but it's hard to take someone's opinion seriously after this. Then he tries to insult me with childish comments and says he doesn’t respect us .
Did you see me disagreeing with dark_entity at all? He was in the V.I.P area and gave an account of what he saw. |

I don't really care how many ETF officers entered Republik, nor am I motivated by discrediting you on the principle that you happen to disagree with somebody else's account. As I mentioned right off the bat, I was not there myself, so I cannot determine who is justified based on my own account of the night. I can only look for similarites based on what others have contributed. These similiarites suggest that ETF officers entered Republik last Saturday with automatic weapons and seemed to scare the out of a few patrons in the process. Some people may have been injured in the process and Republik is apparently closed this weekend. The rest is moot. |
Hahaha. This is hilarious.
Why are you going through all this effort to discredit me then....
I'm starting to believe you have some hidden agenda. |

| and the moral of the story is... keep your nose clean and you won't have probs with the cops and have message boards telling tall tales about you. |

I was only trying to determine what you saw. You never expanded on your account, so your posts warranted special attention/consideration. You started saying you were there, which I (among others) would take to be an implication that you were in the VIP. Sure, you have made the point clear that there were not 100 ETF in your opinion; however, you have also confirmed that ETF entered the club, weapons were drawn and that you are not a fan of Jay's. If you don't want to provide a more detailed account of the evening, that's your prerogative. |

My friends were victims of police brutality. Their house got raided by the police, which was a mistake obviously. The cops got the address wrong.
Anyway, the police busted down their door without warning, with a battering ram and used force to wrestle both my friend and his roommate to the floor, without question. I don't remember the exact details, but I think I remember my buddy saying something about getting kicked and/or punched. Pretty sure it made the news...I'll have to look for a source to get it clear..but yeah.
So yeah, it DOES happen. |

welll i heard from my uncles brothers cousins dads nephew mistress that the club is closed for 45 days. The owners are suing the toronto police for smashing up their tiles and some other broken stuff.
I wonder who snitched? |

So now its apparent what the city's agenda has been. Cops have done similar raids on other clubs. Adam vaughan is not so discreet about his war on clubs. Republik went on to do business for another year and a half afterwards.
BTW All charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
In 2007 there were 90 dance clubs in the district. Now there are 30. And i hear there is a big condo that is about to go up at richmond and peter.
Welcome to 2011! |

90 dance clubs, 90% of which were cookie-cutter imitations of each other.
Yeah, that was bound to last. |
