Got imageshack going... Only took two days... stupid bloody thing.
Anyway, here we go for my '5.

And lastly, what happens when you have an off at the track...

Off at the track? Clean?!
I took mine on winter rallies:

Nice ride you have there. Green Mica is the colour? Those aren't the 10AE wheels I was thinking of but they are nice & light none the less.
In Aus, the 90's came with a factory turbo in some applications. If you can find a wrecked '92 323 GTR you can take most of the guts (bottom end of the motor + turbo + computer) and bolt it right into your MX5. You'll need a different exhaust manifold since the GTR maniflold points the turbo the wrong way (or just get some shop to fab you a downpipe and turn the flange on the GTR paniford 90* from where it is on the GTR all wheel drive spec). For more info, shoot me a pm and I can walk you through it. It will likely be cheaper than buying something from FFSC or FM since you could actually get the GTR's there in their day. one actually won the 92 Aussie or NZ WRC round that year too!!! Mazda's only WRC win.
edit- if you're on the track, buy a proper roll bar too. Yours is just a style bar. |

You're braver than I am. I don't think I'd want to run mine as a rally car, let alone doing it in the snow :p

I think we got a different name, but the colour code is the same. Grace Green or something like that. The 10AE rims are actually identical to mine, except the 10AE's wheels have been chromed from factory. But yes, nice and light they are. I forget exactly how light, but something along the lines of 4-5kg for the rim.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I might have a poke around my regular haunts (www.mx5cartalk.com if you feel like dropping by, although it's a more Australian oriented site) and see whether anyone can confirm this. As for pinching bits off an old GTR, I'll see how it all pans out. Forced induction is not on the cards until I've got everything else sorted.

I know. I bought it because it looked nice, not because it was functional :p
The good thing is that it's either an OEM part or a very good rip off. I'm not a fan of the eBay bling bars. Just don't like the styling of them. That and chrome isn't me. |

Jamie Kidd is on at 6:30 I think...
But dont worry... I wont be too crushed if you leave early for the car meet. I come from a family where cars come first :p |

^WA WA WEE WA!!!
This Sunday before 5:30 pm perhaps? I have a game from 6-8 this Sunday. Next Sunday might be possible, but I have a tournament and don't know the schedule yet.
If you want to do it this Sunday, maybe 3 pm somewhere in the GTA that's convenient for all? And we can go for a drink/ice coffee or something?
Mikey, bring Tara. :) |
