I've always found them ugly. Except the Diablo GT, pretty much all Lambos are ugly.

Here's my hobby car... 88 VW Golf with a 2L 16v engine and a big turbo. It's light and it makes 313 wheel hp(about 360hp), top speed is gear limited to ~260 with my current transmission. It should run 12s in the 1/4 mile on street tires

Can't believe I missed this earlier. You have good taste. The 9-3 Viggen is on my shortlist for the next while.

The newer 9-3 is even more awesome.

I think it's a really good look at what future cars might look like. I like the idea that body panels don't have to be rigid. It's the frame that has to be rigid.

Rigid pody panels take away some of the kinetic energy in a collision, which is very important to minimize injury of the occupant. Unless that art car has some sophisticated way to disseminate the impact energy efficiently throughout the frame, it's unsafe imho.

I share your sentiment, buddy, always thought I'd go for the Countach as a childhood dream car but after sitting in one I think I might go straight to a used Diablo simply because of the creature comforts that an old fart like me would need.

I would have to disagree. I think GM has effectively sucked all the SAAB uniqueness out of the 9-3. It may seem nice and flashy on first glance, but upon closer inspection you can see all the production shortcuts and un-SAAB like characteristics...looks more like a BMW now :(.

lol

way to take that out of context

::edit::

what i meant to say was from the outside it just looks like your run of the mill european sports sedan, it no longer has that saab uniqueness that made them such interesting cars

As for production short cuts..the grill has fake molds where the vents would be as well as plastic molds for fog lights for entry level models. The interior is pure GM now, the radio/display area looks like its from a Chevy Malibu sigh..

lol I got you! The interior is bad new bears :(

EDIT:
However, I just checked the specs and the engine upgrade plus electronic limited slip differential make it seem fun to drive...still a bit quirky imo:

^that's pretty hawt...
