Oh I know - I was always beating my rev limiter like it owed me money. Pulled around 6k RPM in 3rd on one of the more open courses too. It's not easy on your car, but you need less prep and it's less abuse than full trackdays

You can get as into it as you want - spare wheels with sticky tires etc etc

Still fun though!

I'm not sure if they still do it, but there was a navigational rally series that ran in the winters with fast and challenging speeds to maintain...so fast that on some sections of twisty road you had to drive pretty flat out. These were all over night too. Great fun
