Going on Friday to check out an '05 G35 Coupe 6MT (silver) and an '04 350Z 6MT (arrest-me red). Insurance is $50 more per month on the 350Z, go figure.

Haha, finally man! You know I love my G35, and if you get one, you will love it too lol. Honestly, screw the 350Z. The G35 is a way more usable car and you know it. Test drive the Z, but do not buy lol.

Glad to hear you are finally taking the leap and buying a fun car though! This is going to be a good summer, I can see it now haha

The G35 was a wonderful car and still is a very good car, but I wouldn't spend the money on an early-model G35 now. My '08 Altima puts the 03/04 and even the 05/06 G35 to shame, primarily because of the Xtronic (or whatever they call it now) and the better V6 engine Nissan started using in 2007.

I'd wait for a used G37 to come on the market, personally. If you're really anxious, at least wait for an '07 G35

Just my opinion, take it or leave it. My dad's got a G35 so I do have a lot of experience with it, I'm not talking out of my ass here.

I'm sick of driving cars. UUUUUUUUUNGH i want one now i hate my winter beater

Nice...I would go with the 350Z but in black. I see too many G35 Coupes driving around...even more than the 350Z IMO but in the end its your decision. What do you think of the S2000?

Hm, noted. I just think they're terrific value as a used car these days. As for the transmission thing, I'm looking at manual only, so no CVT/auto lovin' here. One of my good friends owns an '06 coupe and I love the damn car.

I'd love a black 350Z but they're difficult to find (from what I've seen) and again, the insurance thing. They cost so much more to insure than any other car I've been looking at, and yes that includes S2000s. Another good friend of mine has owned 3: a black '02 a yellow '04 and most recently an imola orange '07 (one of 34 in Canada, which he recently sold for a brand new Civic sedan).

Needless to say I felt the S2000 to be a little small for me as a daily driver (I'm 6'1") since with the seat all the way back, there still isn't enough legroom for my liking and my knees are incredibly close to hitting the wheel. Just give me an extra inch and a half and I'd be sold for sure.

Comedy option: Chrysler Crossfire. Yeah yeah, it's badged as a Chrysler but uses a prev-gen Merc SLK platform and drivetrain (tried and true) and was built by Karmann in Germany. I am absolutely in love with the looks, though I don't care for the relative lack of power compared to other vehicles in the class. However, the handling apparently more than makes up for that.

Sure, mags and whatnot rag on them for whatever reason, but it seems as though every single owner absolutely loves theirs and can't say enough good about it.

Yeah, I am 6'3 so I know where you are coming from. Its pretty sad because I really love the S2000 but thats life.

The SRT version of the crossfire has a 3.2 Litre motor making 330 HP but I dont know how much they are going for right now. I dont give a about what people say about cars I like. Everyone has there own opinion. I actually owned a Dodge SRT-4 at one point and it was a greta vehicle despite what people said about it...very fast too.

It sometimes sucks being taller than average.

Also, the Crossfire SRT-6 is automatic only, so regardless of how good it is otherwise, it is out of the running.

Nice looking car, but I hate the fake plastic mesh around the headlights and the back lights makes it look really cheap...I'd expect that sort of thing on a saturn, not a supercar.
