The ty thing about the tires are once the temperature hits below 7 degres cel...my tires do not stick at all. It feels like I am driving on ice sometimes its crazy. I just got winters on right now thank god.

I still haven't put my winters on :( I keep thinking it will still get warmer LMAO stupid.

And PBR is just the most popular aftermarket pad I've seen in my online car forum circles, probably because of how much cheaper they are than Hawks. Can't comment on Carbotech, know nothing about them.

These brake pads are known for practically zero brake dust, but they don't have the initial bite that OEM (organic) pads normally do until they're heated up.

If price isn't such a big deal, I'd recommend Hawk HPS.

Buy local - check out Williams Performance Friction.

(sorry, don't have a link handy though I know a bunch of guys who use their pads on street and track - many compounds to choose from)

right, the Hawk/PBR for street and PF01 for track...that's the track setup I'm going with for next season. Getting slotted stoptech rotors (need them anyway, after the winter), stainless steel brake lines, and the Motul 600 brake fluid. Hopefully that will take care of the fade I was getting my first time out. I like how at the end of the day you can just switch your pads back, set them in, and away you go!

Make sure your car didn't start with DOT 5.1 silicone hi-temp fluid in it. Seeing as it's a performance car (even if it's missing it's roof and torsional ridgitity :p) it might have come with this already in the lines.

The silicone stuff and the normal stuff do not mix at all and will leave you with a dangerously absent brake pedal when you need to stop.

When you add the Motul (great choice BTW - it's good stuff) make sure you run a bunch extra through each of the calipers to make sure all the old junk is out.

Don't add the Motul until the spring. It will absorb moisture all winter and end up all skunky by spring and that doesn't come cheap.

/\ What he said. And make sure you bleed your system properly.

The stoptech rotors are supposed to be a pretty good product. I don't know if I would go with a slotted one, you should get pretty decent performance out of a blank disc. And the slotted ones will wear out your pads considerably quicker.

The AM rapide looks like the only 4-dr I'd ever buy.

The only thing that really sticks out are the rims. Everything else is pretty bland.
