| Album has a deeper, more eerie atmospheric and melodic feel than the previous Involver album, more akin to the Sasha of old, though am sure it will still divide the camps and probably not be the bag of those who enjoyed the first album. |

Since obviously you have listened to it, I have some questions if you dont mind answering them:
1.How are the new sasha productions? Are they more in line with the emfire releases, or different?
2.Eraser, is it like the video version?
3.Any word on a LP release like involver?
4.Epic intro/outro? |

Subtle intro, as the album peaks later (particularly when the M83 track starts), and driving finale. No word on whether there will be an LP version, but like the first album I would imagine the individual remixes will be made available via GU or by the labels / artists who's tracks are featured. |

I second progsounds' opinion on the album. It's definitely different from Involver. Sound wise it's incredibly well produced. Every track is driving, the peak time is indeed during Couleurs, but my favorite transitions are the first 3 tracks, Badger to Telefon Tel Aviv to Rone.
The new Sasha productions are very COMAesque but yet better than what's been released so far on Emfire.
I have the feeling that Invol2ver is as "milestonish" as Involver, but that its value-added will be perceived not now. A bit like Human after all for the DP. |

That's a big claim right there, but I've got a lot of respect for your opinion so I'm going to go into it with an open mind. |

I've chosen my words carefully. Technically-speaking the album is wonderful, artistically-speaking, the atmosphere is mature. |

In all honesty, I think I've gone from thinking Involver 2 was a horrible idea to being so numb/indifferent to it that at this point it will get a more fair shake from me than it would have a year ago. I'm still going in with high standards, but I'm going to try and be as open minded as possible. |

| I think we should stop trying to compare them both. The premise is the same but from what i gather, the direction is different. I bet if he would have gone in the same direction as the first, we would all be bitching about that too. Open mindedness is the key. |

I see your point. It's a #2 to a classic album, it's normal to go in with high standards. And in my opinion, with the scene of today, with where Sasha has decided to go with his own sound (Sasha/COMA obviously), the album is intelligent, not as groundbreaking as the previous opus, yet very mature, wonderfully well-made. Simply different, maybe more personal. |

It's the sequel to Involver - how on earth you think that doesn't warrant comparing the two is beyond me (and apparently beyond you as you manage to compare the two in the sentence that comes right after "stop trying to compare them both").
As such, I shall continue to compare the two, as will many others I imagine. To be honest, I don't know how anyone could not compare the two, given that they've actually heard the first. |
