From what I heard from the samples, this sounds really good. Really really good. Definitely not the stringy, breaky one like the first Involver, but a lot more emotional and darker. Very nice - can't wait to listen to it in full.

AND! The following track, around 1:15 it starts coming in, is Sasha's remix of Eraser. Fantastic, love how it drops!

The crap quali of the vid doesn't do it justice.

I actually think the new remix of Eraser is one of the low points of the set right now - still think Satoshi Tomiie and Stretch & Vern did a better job with it.

I do, however, love the way that Engineers tune comes in after 3 little pigs.

Well heres what i dont get, the brazil vid is three little pigs with the eraser vocal, and that vid above is just 3 little pigs. Now on I2 eraser, is just accapella'd over the m83 track, and then theres the "club" mix of eraser which is on disc 2, which i would assume is either the full mashup with the m83 track, the mashup in the brazil video(which would kick so much ass!) OR some new one.

A few notes based on the ghetto 30 second sampling through out. :toothless

Pros:

- Intro and Outro sound immensely good.
- Home Video and Charlie May (I think) tracks are DJ set playable.
- Engineer track is :eyes:

Cons:
- Sasha's productions in the middle sound horrid.
- Some tracks sound as if there's Mongoose sampling through out, too emFire sounding.
- Thom Yorke vocal sampling at the end of the M83 seems out of place and ruins the track.
- I don't think there's a Thom Yorke remix, it's only used for vocal sampling between two tracks.

Edit: And I think I will enjoy it. I spent way more time dicking around with the "mini sample" thing at his website than I thought I would.

So far I haven't really cared for much of the beginning, but the end just gets this weird kind of epic I haven't heard in much EDM the past few years, and that I'd really be all for making a come back.

The ending is the only part that sounded good to me tbh. I thought most of the CD (from the samples at least) sounded like , but that Engineers track was ing awesome. A weird combination... stupidly boring to epic (unfortunately the stupidly boring lasts longer).

I dunno, I think I am going to find it boring until the end, but perhaps a full listen will change my mind.

I enjoyed about the first 5-8 minutes, then just kind of got a bit unsure as to what I thought until probably 50-55 minutes or so, at which point I liked most of what I heard except for the use of the sample from Eraser (which really does sound out of place and truly awful).

Still, that Engineers tune definitely got me feeling like I was ready to give this thing a straight through shot - so at least it gave me a bit of cautious optimism, which is something I haven't had regarding this project yet.

I didn't, however, at any time think anything other than "Just a new Sasha compilation."

I did not feel that way at all when I first heard Involver - I felt like I was listening to something you'd probably only hear once in a life time.

I definitely know more about dance music now than I did when I first heard Involver, and my taste has shifted dramatically, but even then when I heard Involver I fell in love with it. I couldn't get enough of it. It was playing in my car everytime I put the keys in the ignition for an entire Summer. :D

This album just sounded really cheesy from the samples, but, again, I will give it a full whirl in a few weeks and give it a final verdict.

I'm not giving a review, but from hearing 30 seconds of a clip I think you can usually get an idea whether or not you will like the track. Not to mention that on djdownload you can preview segment after segment.

Sidenote: read the last 10 words of my post.

i know but those were some deep reviews :p
