I guess if anything you've gotta say this was a success. Fair number of folks are really enjoying it, those of us who didn't like it don't seem to be as put off as we may have expected.

All in all it's doing much better than I had thought it might.

i've listened to it 4 times over the last 2 days and i must say i really do like it.

i do agree with paulandrews comment about the percussion - it could have been a lot more interesting. some breakbeats or a change of style here and there would have been nice... but that's really my only complaint. i also agree that the few Sasha tracks in the beginning are probably the weakest part of the mix, but when Arcadia kicks in it more than makes up for it.

Its like that smell you get in the waiting room of a dentist office.

Well yeah, that's my beef with that and music in general. I never thought I would appreciate a minor trainwreck in a dj set here and there, until these clinical mixes started coming out. It brings a certain tension into a set; something this Invol2ver completely lacks.

to those of you that dont like it, will you please let me know some of the stuff youre listening too? cause if this sucks, i would like to hear better .... i dont think its close to being better than the first one, but i think its still good

I don't think there's a point in recommending anything else to a guy with a following quote in his sig:

Who knows, the guy is a ing guru. I can't wait to name my kid "Maven". Yes, im dead serious. I suggest you guys name your kid the same.

:p

Anyway... To be fair, I haven't listened to many mix compilations this year, but these two I thought were impressive:

Marcel Dettmann - Berghain 02
Various - Dubstep Allstars: Vol.06

agreed, but its not just involver 2 its so many dj sets. I downloaded a ben klock set a few weeks ago and it was obviously "layered" with ableton. It was boring as f*ck

I'm really loving it, extremely wicked tracks to start with, the transition from You are the worst thing in the world (which is absolutely amazing) to the track after that is just great. I agree the middle is less awesome but yet it's still driving very nicely, into Ladytron where the madness begins again. I don't know about the last track though, i don't really feel it, but the rest was more than ok. Surely one of the best albums this year, built up very well.

One thing to note is how Sasha starts the mix at like 121-122 bpm, almost painfully slow and seamlessly blows it up to like 127 at the end. Good work on that front for sure.

The new Damien Lazarus, almost all of the mixes I've downloaded from the DJ promotion forum in the last six months, Sci-Fi Hi Fi volumes 4 and 5, Marcel Dettman's Berghain Mix, Ame's Fabric 42, the last few RA podcasts (specifically Pigon), Hawtin's set from DEMF, Chris Santiago live at Smartbar in June....

That is just off the top of my head - but really, taste is taste, so who cares whether or not I like Invol2ver if you do?
