yeah, the idea behind involver is an entire comp devoted to tracks that sasha/charlie may/blah blah blah remixed specifically for the album. look on beatport, will, and every track will say "sasha involver mix" or whatever. i'm surprised some people didn't realize this.

to what? proof? look at the tracklist. the only way it would make sense to put his own material on the album (even though technically everything on the cd is his material by definition) is if he remixed his own work for involver 2 or whatever, but that would be the producer equivalent of masturbation imo

wait, is there some sort of unwritten rule that these compilations have to *strictly* feature the work of others? i understand theres a concept behind involver to remix tracks but do we really want the exact same product as involver 1? id much rather have him change it up a bit.
why not let the man try something different by including some of his own songs? look back on his compilations and you'll rarely see his work featured on there so its not as if whores himself out at every opportunity (like some other names)... |
