I see your point. It's a #2 to a classic album, it's normal to go in with high standards. And in my opinion, with the scene of today, with where Sasha has decided to go with his own sound (Sasha/COMA obviously), the album is intelligent, not as groundbreaking as the previous opus, yet very mature, wonderfully well-made. Simply different, maybe more personal. |
Your description makes me feel a lot better :p |

It's the sequel to Involver - how on earth you think that doesn't warrant comparing the two is beyond me (and apparently beyond you as you manage to compare the two in the sentence that comes right after "stop trying to compare them both").
As such, I shall continue to compare the two, as will many others I imagine. To be honest, I don't know how anyone could not compare the two, given that they've actually heard the first. |
I meant direction wise. I think what i should have said is we shouldnt expect to hear the same as on involver in terms of the peticular sound that it had, the guitars, breaks, almost downtempo feel to it. I mean it would be great to have another same sounding album, but then it wouldnt be ground breaking as the first, kinda like how Nickelback is, if you know who they are. But of course ill compare them, but on the technical side, how much the remixes differ from the originals, the mixing, pacing, all that, just not the "sound" part. |

Ah, I see - I think I just misunderstood. All I meant was that because the first Involver, for me, was one of the pinnacle moments in my electronic music career, it's going to be hard for me to listen to Involver 2 in any sort of objective sense - I think I'm just reflexively going to compare the two whether or not it's fair to Sasha, which was really why I have been pretty apprehensive about this project from the beginning.
Apparently we're all going to actually find out soon, though - so fingers crossed. :) |

| No one take anything RJT says in this thread seriously. He has already been owned by the fact that this mix cd even came out. At this point he is just a cat who has been drenched by a hose who got himself caught into a corner. He'll be taking a swipe at anything! :stongue: |

Yet, he's added far more to this discussion than you have with these kind of completely posts. |

Yeah, his ranting and raving is doing this album much justice. Me waiting until the album is even released to give my review would probably be a pretty pointless thing to do. Right?
You two little love birds really crack me up. :D |
