I couldn't agree with you more on this. It's really rare for Ohio to get any kind of big name Techno producer/DJ to come and play. I'm definitely going to try and get to this event.
Also I just saw that MSTRKFT is coming back to BOMA in Columbus on the 12th of June. Their last show their was fantastic and I'd definitely recommend stopping down if you can make the drive. |

I am thankful we get something, but it is just kind of frustrating. If Cleveland could get John O'Callaghan or Sean Tyas, I would be the happiest man in the world. Never gonna happen though... |

I also saw Digweed there, he was horrible IMO! |
Apparently your perception of horrible and great is very distorted. |

Its just my opinion. Digweed's set was pretty bland IMO. Darude tore it up @ Metropolis. To each his own right? |

No :whip:
But seriously, Digweeds set was pretty bland, but it was a thousand times better than what Tyas would ever put out. |

Sean Tyas' set on A State of Trance 300 was one of the best I have ever heard. Download it and crap your pants like I did.
I heard his set on ASOT 400 and it was trash. Still better than what I heard Digweed do @ Cyrus in Cleveland. |

Any ohioans heading up to Toronto for Canada Day fetivities? The lineup at Guv is insane. As usual up there, there's tons of other stuff going on, too.
Friday, June 26 - Kyau & Albert (Buffalo, NY)
Saturday, June 27 - John Dahlback (Footwork)
Sunday, June 28 - Mark Knight (Sunnyside Pavillion)
Tuesday, June 30 - Hawtin, Lawler, Dubfire, Ferry, Cosmic Gate, Menno, Adam Freeland, and more (Guv/Koolhaus)
Wednesday, July 1 - Boat Cruise w/ Green Velvet & Max Graham
------------------ Boat Cruise w/ Chus & Ceballos
I am looking to get up there for at least a couple days, but before I invest in a flight I wanted to see if anybody else might wanna go because driving with a few peeps would be so much cheaper.

Went to metropolis yesterday for the first time in a while. What a horrible experience. Either the system there is done, or benassi could care less about watching his levels. The sound was just horrid. That's not even my biggest gripe. They actually charged $35 for that . I thought they were joking at first. I don't even recall Armin show being this expensive. $35 for a ty venue and a mediocre DJ. I would have left if I had my car there.
On a side note, for a freakin' $35, you could go see a real band, like Metallica, not some garbage. |

I ended up not going due to a lack of interest from friends. I think the tix were cheaper if you bought them online early. Other than the levels, how was the set?
The sound @ Metropolis always seemed good to me, what was the last show you have seen there? Mine was Armin, and it was such a good time. |

Yeah, they were around 20 online (15+service charge), but I still think that charging $35 at the door for benassi is ridiculous. I had pretty low expectations as far as the set goes and it was better than expected. Still it's nothing worth raving about, especially for $35.
I thought Armin was really good as well, even though I'm not huge on trance.
EDIT: In addition, although it's nothing new, I was really pissed off that you can't go outside. The dude at the door said that he would charge $5 re-entry fee. Is that not a rip-off? I don't even smoke, but I do like going outside once or twice in order to take a breather. |

| Speaking of Metropolis...is anyone going to be attending the party this Friday with Richie Hawtin and the M-nus crew? |

| Hey Ohio tranceaddicts, I just moved to Cincinnati. I was looking through the thread and I see Cleveland gets a decent amount of events and I was wondering if Cinci gets much in the way of events, as I can't seem to find a whole lot looking on my own. |
