Bar Louie, Spice, Park Street Patio, to name a few that are across the street from one another. Other chill spots near there can be found in the Short North(high street north of goodale) Good news also is that all these places are a cheap taxi ride to BoMA in case ya need it.
PM me if ya need extra details, as I am also planning on attending:eyespop:, and may end up with an extra VIP ticket. |
Not that it matters to most bars/clubs...but it is thanksgiving and a lot of places will be closed or closing early. Wednesday night is the BIG party night usually. Columbus is a ghost town...but its certainly better than Cleveland. Just not worth the 2 hour drive! |

And I will certainly be giving my thanks that night for electronic music.
I hope some places in the short north are open for some food and pre-drinks that night, otherwise looks like it's pizza and vodka at my place! |

Pretty sure the Gateway's bars (Skye, McFadden's, Ugly Tuna, Mad Mex) will be open that night. I work there so I'll check around and let ya know.
On my way out the door for Benni Benassi at Sugar. Next week Paul van Dyk. On the 8th, its George Acosta, woot! |

You mean no one will be at PvD? Or that the rest of the town will be dead? I'm still gonna come check out PvD; I've never seen him live. I manage a bar in Indy, so if I don't go I have to work anyway.... I'm passing it off as market research. lol. And the drive's 1/2 the fun anyway! |

| Thursday was an amazing night! I wont go as far to call it an "out of body" experience, but I will lean towards calling it an "out of town" experience. I felt for the entire night as if I had stepped into a Chicago, Miami, London, etc club event. The vibe was fantastic. It helps that I am quite the fan of trance, as well as PvD. Even if it isn't your scene, though, those who were there can't deny the incredible atmosphere created by the people and music. I hope, from the owner and management point of view, that this was a great success. BoMA has no competition in Ohio(and as far as I know Indy, Penn, Kentucky, WV....) as far as top notch clubs are concerned and I would love to see this kind of event become a regular(monthly?) thing. Dont get me wrong, I love what's been goin on in the last year or so at spots like Lotus, Carlile, Mynt, and Bristol, but let's bring back the days of the massive edm nights here in Columbus. It was awesome meeting and hanging out with so many great people Thursday night. Props to BoMA. |
