wow christopher lawrence in columbus! i'm gonna try for this! anybody have any info on what the club is like? i saw josh wink back in march i think in columbus but i dont remember the name of the club oh no wait it was called Global or something. |

Seven is a new club. This may even be their first trance party.
I'm not expecting much but I will make the trek from Cleveland to Columbus to experience Christopher Lawrence. Haven't seen him yet.
PvD apparently values him, so that's going to hold for something in my mind. |

I was at Seven for George Acosta's afterparty and, while it was nothing like the Tiesto afterparty (no smoking ftw) the club itself was open and clean. I think it will serve as a great venue without driving people "downtown". I like Global on Long Street, and RedZone on Front Street, because they were a couple blocks from work...but Seven is a couple blocks from home =D. Seriously, though, the club when I saw it was clean, open, and had a great system. The owner (I assume) was excited at the turnout for the afterparty and wanted bigger events there. I can only hope he gets what he wants, because it is what I want (haha!)...more exposure for the music and the scene.
If nothing else is a testimonial to the club, think about this....I work until 10pm that night and have to go back at 8am for a 16-hour shift...yet I have a VIP ticket and will be there. OHTA's better represent. Out-of-state TA's are MOST welcome. Chris put on a GREAT show last time he was in Cbus and I have no doubts about the second helping~
As I last saw it...as you walk into Seven...straight ahead is the bar. To your front/left is a floor with a few tall tables. To the left a raised seating area with some soft couches and tables. Beyond the first table (ahead/left) is the floor. DJ tables are to the left of the floor. The back of the floor is lined with subs upon which is a small platform you can stand/dance upon. Behind all of this is the VIP area (accessible by a single, short stair behind a small wall from the floor/bar area). The restrooms are past the bar and down a short, carpeted stair. The VIP area has several table/couches and is done mainly in white leather.

Yeah, so no ring, but regardless, Chris Lawrence was tearin' it up when I left~ Sorry, but if I wasn't working a 16-hour shift tomorrow I would still be there...18+ and doors close at 0430 =D
Openers set everything up right...go go Aaron (Aus-10 I assume). The venue itself is sick...great lighting, great sound...the place was hopping when I left just 20 minutes ago. I'm looking forward to more big names and more great music there. Scanned flyers incoming soon.
There is a NYE party at Club Seven - DJ Tommy D (he was first opener for Chris tonight, and what an opener). Heated patio for the evil smokers (boo), VIP lounge (yay) and masks available at door for the needy =D

come up to BW3's... they have free wifi in there, and its tuesssday wing night baybeee haha. its on mayfield road, in mayfield hts/lyndhurst, go down mayfield rd (OH 322) past 271S about 3 miles on the right, i'll be there for some drafts and wings! cheers~ |
