"Kenneth Thomas is without doubt one of the most promising young DJs in the electronic scene right now. There's an intelligence and a well defined style to his sets. He's quickly emerging as one to watch in the next generation of superstar DJs." When Paul Oakenfold has this to say about someone people can tend to stop and take a listen. Following in an elite class consisting of Dave Ralph, D:Fuse & Hernan Cattaneo, its seems every 5 years or so Oakenfold hand picks a future star to take under his wing and the latest selection is Kenneth Thomas.
Hailing out of the Detroit, the birthplace of Techno, KT stands out with his emotional and melodic sound. Yet, the same aggression that spawned the early techno sounds of the 90's is the same fuel that fires Kenneth to explore the emotional side of the musical experience. Music has always been a spiritual place for Kenneth and because the depth of dance music goes well beyond the conscious level, there's an underlying exploration and experience in every set and track.
Beyond traveling the globe sharing his music, Kenneth has also become a juggernaut in the studio. Over the past 5 years he's completed over 50 tracks and remixes for labels including Perfecto, Hope, Armada, Om, Cuurve, Alter Ego, Pacha and more. Now, busy working on his debut artist album forthcoming in late 2009 as well as recent remixes for David Guetta, Jan Johnston, Oliver Moldan, Jeff Mills and even Scott Wieland, we have seen this 'Dj at heart' break new ground in the areas of production. Also on the plate, beyond DJing and producing, KT is A&R for Oakenfolds' Perfecto Records, helping spearhead the renaissance of one of the greatest labels dance music has ever seen.
The future is bright for Kenneth. Touring regularly around the world sharing his blend of progressive minded dance music, his focus has never changed since day one, "This is the most amazing sound I have ever encountered, I just want to share it with as many people as possible"

Really jazzed about coming back. I missed cleveland the few years I didnt make it down. Glad to have a good group of people to work with there again. In october I realized towards the end of the night, Cleveland can finally trance it up! Expect to hear a bit more of a tranceier edge when I come back next month. See you in Jan! |

that hits home for sure brotha... though i've caught you a couple times now at Rain in Vegas at Perfecto night, there is always something I miss about Cleveland and the scene. I definitely miss the Cloud9 days =] Hope there is an awesome turnout for this event, I haven't been to downtown c-town in a year now since I only make it back to OH for holidays.
Funny how the music bonds people, regardless of where they travel. Cleveland people, you may be cynical about this, but I miss the scene there. In Vegas it's a party atmosphere 24/7/365. It's akin to a perpetual frat party... night after night, meeting people that leave the next day never to be heard of again. There in the MW, it was like family. This is what is missing here the most.
Just my opinion, but I hope anyone that is anywhere close attends this event. If you could see the turnout at the Palms when KT plays here, you would feel privileged to have the room on the dancefloor in Cleveland to jump around and to enjoy the music with friends you love =]
Happy Holidays OHTA's!! CHEEEEERS |
