i have a very short video of marco carola on the tronic stage sunday, right before christian smith took over. i'll put a link here when i put it up. other than that there is just some drunken looking pics of us in the hotel room :wtf: i didn't bring the camera to bleu because i was afraid it would get wet... we went back to the DEMF to see kevin saunderson before heading to bleu for junkie xl and it was raining at the time :(
in retrospect i'm pretty pissed i didn't bring the camera to jxl... ffs is that man vivacious on stage!! jumping around, shaking hands with us, stepping to the side to bow and blow kisses, playing the air guitar... he was tearing it up!
so you had a blast at POTD huh? i was so pumped when i heard that it was coming to cleveland, until i found out it was over this weekend. i already had my bleu / DEMF ticket by then... was upset i was going to have to miss dieselboy, i haven't seen him since 99' so hopefully he'll come back around... who was your favourite of the night? i wonder if dieselboy is still tearing it up these days! |

j/k j/k welcome! :D wooohoo another clevelander! i'll tell you just a few things to get you started:
1] you should check out abbasso on saturdays (right across from jacobs field) headrushmusic does their weekly there
2] come to sharam/corsten/oakey on the 6th of july!
3] check out kenneth thomas @ his cloud9 monthly (first saturday of every month)
4] doug from poo-bas records does a very cool event listing, you can go here to check it out or just subscribe to the list and he'll email it to you every week.
5] check over the events on http://clevelandnightlife.net
6] COME OUT AND ENJOY YOURSELF! there is plenty happening, despite the fact that some people would rather just say the scene is dead here. don't disappear into the woodwork like the rest of the ohio ta's on the list :whip: :p
let me know if you are planning on making it to any events soon! what style of EDM are you into?
TJ... seems as though KT cancelled his gig this weekend @ cloud9, he will be playing at moda here in cleveland on saturday and not doing both shows in one night. what do you say, still coming up?
pchs... keep an eye on TJ's posts (tuis) since he's down around your area in columbus. if you ever plan on coming up here to cleveland to party let me know, and bring tuis with you :stongue: |

Ah, no Cloud 9 KT =( I was probably going to a friend's bday bash on Saturday anyway, since I have to go home (Steubenville) for my dad's bday dinner. We'll see, I may just hit Moda and go home from there afterwards...

Long Street (Global) had a string of great acts last month. DJ Skribble will be there on 10 Jun
RedZone...I havent been there since Oakey last year...but it seems this year they are making up for everything with Oakey, Ferry, and Sharam! Too bad an unfortunate scheduling conflict will force me to enjoy them in Cleveland (ARGH) |

welcome nebjamin!
I think I might have to go see that july 6th party , looks like a pretty hardy lineup.
I havent got to see anything like I was planning after the semester was done....I got a second job and in between that I've been trying to get some rest....in A I wish I'd win the lottery....I would throw the biggest in party ...and it'd be free!!!
Well I gotta bounce....

Hey everyone!
We're extremely proud to announce that Jason (Sir XLNC) has been nominated for Cleveland's 2005 DJ of the YEAR!!! So let the campaign begin! Please click the link below to submit your vote.. under the "Best DJ" catagory vote for Sir XLNC!
VOTE HERE
please pass this along to everyone you know and ask them to vote...show your love and support for all his hard work and dedication to music and the people of Cleveland!
***********************************************************
Sir XLNC's Bio
Intrigued by how the music at nightclubs was seamlessly mixed together,
Sir XLNC aka Jason Michaels was determined to learn how it was done
and become skilled at doing it. So, in 2003 he purchased his first set of decks. At first he got them to produce sounds similiar to that of a train wreck. Finally, after getting the idea to count the number of beats a track had per minute, the train wrecks faded and started to sound more and more like actual club mixes. Eventually he started making mixed tapes for several of his friends and playing at various house parties. However he never really persued his dream until about a year later...
In 2004, he moved to Cleveland from the suburbs, where the DJ bug bit
him hard. Being surrounded by the club scene downtown he couldn't help falling deeper into his love of spinning and making people groove. "In Cleveland I was able to learn a lot abour DJing as an art-form. Some of
the local had befriended me and where always giving me ideas and
advice." Eventually, Jason started spinning at "Metropolis", one of the old school hot nightspots on Cleveland's Flats West Bank
By the end of 2004, he had made a name for himself through out the city and started spinning major events in the area, but also decided to host a weekly open tables night at smaller intimate venue in Cleveland called
Rain. "This was great for me because I was able to polish my skills and boost my confidence as a club DJ."
Today, Jason has a residency at Rain and Bachus in Cleveland, and is on Tru Productions Regional All-Star Roster playing events such as DJ Icey, George Acosta, DJ Colette, Danny Howells, and Oakenfold/Corsten/Deep Dish just to name a few. He also heads the promotional crews for Tru Productions, Cloud 9 Ultra Lounge, Moda Nightclub, Bacchus and Rain.
His favorite music styles are Tribal, Progressive House, and Funky House.
"I've got to admit, I'm not big on anthems unless they're really good. I'm
also very picky as to what else I'll play at the club, it has to be really good
or I won't play it." "When playing live, I love to communicate with my audience through my music. Sometimes I'll try to creat a story line with
the tracks I choose"
Next time you hear Jason spin, pay attention to his song choices, he just might be trying to tell you something! |

BZZT! You are in luck! The Jul 7 show at RedZone for Ferry, Oakey, and Sharam is 18+. I don't know about Moda, though, but would assume the same. Definitely NOT one to miss. =) |
