Cinci seems to get a lot of events for locals and such, but not a whole lot of big names when compared to Cleveland. It's not completely dry, though. Try living in Dayton... :(

Hey all, I find myself traveling to Cleveland for work during the week and am interested in learning of any events scheduled there this summer/fall. Specifically, are there any during the week; i.e. Monday thru Wednesday (as I typically don't spend weekends in town)? By events, I don't necessarily mean big names. Resident DJs can make me dance just as much.

Thanks in advance.

There's a local promoter around here that throws decent parties at shooters from time to time. However, there are also "System" parties with Dan Stark. He brings in guest DJs and the music is always good.

International Nights with DJ Doru and Friends is a great way to spend your time in this beautiful city, or swing by City & East every Thursday night to enjoy some frszh beats with DJ Fresz who never ceases to amaze with his talent, he'll even throw in some Jesus poses at no extra charge (although your check will have to be a minimum of $100 to reserve a table at this exclusive party.)

I wonder if Tiesto will top his performance from 2 years ago when he was in Cleveland, because that was by far the worst live set i've heard in my life. And that says a lot because I've seen Benassi and Gabriel & Dresden before that and I didn't think it was possible to top them.

So, who was able to make it out to Metropilis a couple of weeks ago to see Tiesto? I did and overall it was a fun night. He did a much better job this time around. I also enjoyed Attalla's set, which was nice and melodic. The only thing I was pissed about was service. We got a table for 4, which was ridiculously expensive (for what it is at least). Apart from the fact that we got a crappy table (I can only blame myself for not showing up earlier to get a nicer one) we had to wait probably over an hour to get our drinks. How long does it take to bring 2 mixers, 1 bottle of vodka and a bucket of ice? That was absolutely unacceptable, given the price tag. We were almost ready to go downstairs and ask for our money back. Another thing that was overly annoying was people trying to sit on our couches. Every time we went to walk around, we would come back and see random people sitting around our table. I should have charged those punks $50 per ass. When I go out- I want to have fun, not yell at people and wait ridiculously long time for frinks.

I also forgot to mention our annoyance with the girl that checked our tickets. We showed her our "wantickets" receipt which clearly stated that we got 1 table for 4 people. She kept trying to convice us that it was only for one person. Luckily Mike came up and took care of that.

Agreed, the service needs to be overhauled for these kinds of events. I understand it is real busy, but you need to have an adequate staff that are all on the same page putting the overcharged customer first.

If anyone is around for the Thanksgiving Weekend I'll be at Anatomy on Wed night (Thanksgiving Eve)

AMMORA
grrrrr Boma has Guetta thursday night....WHY WHY WHY do the good DJs have to come to this state on the WORST possible days (such as the day before the busiest retail-work day everrrrrr making it impossible to do eat+ party + work butt ass early in the morning)? who the hell is booking this stuff??
