Well the summer is approaching us and I head to Ohio for one thing and one thing only....Cedar Point.
I hope to get to visit a club in the Cleveland area if there are any big acts playing.
What clubs do you guys have around Cleveland? |

when i moved here in june from philly that was my FIRST major mission--cedar point. i'm obsessed. heh, in line for Millenium Force they have this cheesy DJ booth and i told the dude putting CDs in to play Faithless "insomnia" and he was like "huh? what? who is faithless??" it was priceless.
anyway, if you stop through cleveland, hit up metropolis...its got the NYC vibe but smaller and with more dance floor. they seem to pull in the best DJs too. The "Tru & Disco present" dude is a really good promoter considering this is a post-industrial wasteland on a lake in Ohio. No one has been able to pull acts to Philly like he has to Cleveland in years...
I'm soooo looking forward to summertime here. BUT first, WMC in Miami!!!
Anyone heading south for WMC?? |

I've been told that the DJ's in the booths have a set of music they can pick from and nothing else. In effort to keep a good mix of music for all walks of life / keep people from playing vulgar or suggestive songs.
I've thought about asking to work at CP if I could be the DJ in those booths. (imagine a getting a couple thousand hours of DJ experience in during a summer). I've been told that its all there stuff and you can't pick what ya want. Even though I've seen Ferry Corsten - Rock your body rock played in the Red Garter Saloon @ Cedar Point.
Im looking to either hit up Cleveland (further East, but new clubs...) after CP one day this summer or finally go to Club Bleu in Detroit if they have anyone big.
Last year we went to Cedar Point quite often so hell maybe we could meet up there. They allow water in...so I just poured some Asti (wine) in a water bottle.
The most annoying thing about Cedar Point's music is when your almost ready to load in to the Millennium Force you hear the same looping tune over and over again. Than Maverick's line has the same 5 songs on repeat. |

I knowwww! I'm not afraid of heights and it could of been the bowl i was smokin in the parkin lot before we got on Millenium Force, but I totally tripped out on the way up the hill...and in the background as we're climbing up that huge friggin hill all I can hear is the wind and faintly but enough to trip me out even more..haddaway "what is love" ...that friggin Night at the Roxbury song. i closed my eyes as i felt us dropping down the hill and didn't open them again until we got to the part where you pass the DJ booth and the line of people...and the song is like FULL ON blast so loud. i had nightmares man...for WEEKS!
haha i'm trippin out just thinking about it...
but yea, we should do a TA takeover of that booth. Pendulum would be friggin AWESOME to listen to right before you get on. |

Yeah, KT never fails to disappoint. First time I saw him was in 2005 when he was opening for Darude. I was really impressed and it's awesome to see him headlining events.
To answer you question - yes traffic is in Cleveland on W.6 in downtown. I'm not sure why nobody mentioned this event here on TA. I found out about it through myspace. I'll write out more details when I get home. |
